Basecamp 138 Desert Ranch

Felipe was very responsive and we loved the location. very cute area and he left cold water for us to drink, and since we were on a road trip in the heat, we really appreciated that! we'll definitely be back! highly recommend this place!

Felipe was very helpful with everything.
The rent is big enough for 4 people.
It is in a very relaxing location.
It is pet friendly too
The only thing is there isn’t water hose, but felipe had a big gallon of water there for us.
Overall it was great experience

Amazing place! Very private. Wonderful star gazing. The tent was great and the stove kept us nice and warm!

We had an amazing time at Felipe’s ranch. The tent provided was awesome and very clean. The stove made it very warm which helped us get through the cold night. The directions were very easy. Felipe was an amazing host who kept in contact with us leading up to and during our stay. We will be coming back again soon.

Location - Joshua Tree Park without the crowd. Joshua Trees thrive in the desert at 2,500 ft.. This area must be a sweet-spot. It's nested inside a forest. Trust the coordinates Felipe gives, the entrance is on the south side of the road. It's a private piece of ranch land. It's a beautiful view with mountains on the south and desert to the north.
Campsite - More like glamping than camping. A well-appointed site with a bell tent, 2 cots, wood stove, fire ring, picnic tables, chairs, and supplies. The portapotty is located across the dirt road (behind trees and scrub). It's all lit with solar ground lights.
Experience - Easy set-up. The site was clean and organized. At night it was fascinating to hear all the ranch animals and wildlife. We woke to roosters and a donkey. We hiked the next day, tracked animals, and enjoyed the big desert sky.

The bell tent made a huge difference with the fireplace stove and kept us warm. Love the location. Wish we could have stayed an extra day.. overall a great experience with great amenities. Will definitely come back

This beautiful camping spot is located in its own private piece of the desert. It is far enough away from the road that you don’t have to worry about your dogs.

We came in a camper van and the spot was very accommodating to pulling in etc but I would say it’s even better suited to tent campers (they provide a beautiful tent already set up if you don’t have one
already)

The owner was there when we arrived cleaning up and was extremely gracious and friendly. They provided freshly cut firewood too!

Our dogs loved it!!

Great location, very pretty with views of the hills. Super quiet but within range of cell service. We only stayed one night as part of a road trip but it was very nice
