We had a wonderful time here. The caravan is comfortable and the setting is beautiful. Charles was very friendly and helpful.
We loved staying in the airstream! Perfect spot to post up and enjoy the views, also great location to adventuring in the park bordering Charles’ property and run down to the beach! Very central location - easy to get to restaurants, beaches, and the wedding we were in town for! Would stay again if we find ourselves back in Santa Barbara.
Charles was a great host. The airstream was clean and in great shape. The views from the property are remarkable and the location is very accessible.
The airstream trailer is everything that it is advertised to be! Charles gave us some good instructions and a bike map and the trailer was in a great location. The accommodation was priced higher than I think it should be, but lodging in SB in general seemed expensive. Overall, it was a great place to safely store our bikes and belongings and for a good nights rest.
The listing is accurate and the retro trailer was fun to use as a base for our day trip bike rides. You are within a very close distance to all of Santa Barbara. The Santa Ynez wine area was a short drive. We had a great time!
Seeing santa barbara in a new way!
If you're looking for a "no-thrills" mini getaway to Santa Barbara, this is it! (Just make sure you aren't that tall & only come as 1-2 people. This was our first time staying in an air streamer, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We were able to make a meal or two on the hot plate which was helpful, but the lack of hot water anywhere other than the shower was a bit difficult. I may have been confused, but the directions we received after booking the place were a bit contradictory. Little things like where to park (it said on the grass near the shed), since he asked us to move into the gravel facing our air streamer. It also said there was a bathroom for night use inside the trailer, but there was definitely not one. In order to use the bathroom or shower, you'd need to exit your "home-away-from-home" & walk to a little tool shed that has a toilet, sink (no hot water), & a shower, all hidden by curtains. I definitely had my BF assist me to the bathroom because I'm a scaredy-cat at 2 am!
The hike on the property was lovely, & it took us to see some incredible views! It's only about a 20-25 min walk to the beach, depending on where you want to go. & most other site-seeing places or the downtown area is less than 15 minutes away by car. Very prime location!
Overall, if you don't mind moving your luggage around the air streamer multiple times a day to make sure you can cook, eat, get dressed, sleep, etc., then definitely check this out! Charles was a very sweet host & had a list of things to do for us on the table inside. I'd consider staying again if it was a shorter period of time, a little cheaper, & we came prepared for the size of the streamer. You should check it out!
What a fun experience! Everything was advertised. The location was perfect, the camper was comfy, and the view was GORGEOUS!
You really are in the heart of Santa Barbara but the location feels remote. You are probably 1-3 miles from all that SB has to offer but you feel like you are ALMOST camping. If planning on making your own meals, I’d meal prep in advance. No bbq just a small two burner hot plate but it does the trick. Safe and pretty neighborhood, hiking tail is also great and beaches are close by.
Bed was super comfy and warm. Bathroom area a bit rustic, but we didn’t mind. Everything worked and there was plenty of hot water.
If you have a thing for old restored campers this would be a good place for you. Perfect for a couple, a single or two friends that don’t mind sharing a bed.
This place was so adorable. Loved sitting out front with the chairs overlooking the mountains. Inside was very comfortable and adorable. Not too far from town either. I would recommend
