Enjoy our fully furnished 10x10 Kodiak Canvas tent, nestled in an old growth azalea grove and surrounded by huge spruce trees (sleeps 2). Comfy queen bed with sheets, pillows, and down comforter, side table with light, rugs, power strip. Tent has spacious 6'6" ceiling.

Outside is a picnic table, potable water jug, non-potable water hose (for dishes, hand washing), a small lantern, a trash bag, a sponge/dishpan/soap, and a few dish towels, and space for one additional tent.

Guests should bring additional tents/sleeping gear (if more than 2 people), camping stove/kitchen supplies, flashlights, lots of warm clothes.

Tent is about 50 yards walk from parking spot on flat dirt path (one reasonably sized car/truck only, no sleeping in vehicle!). Guests have access to a small portion of the property, but there's plenty of privacy.

No fires or BBQs. Camp stoves only. There are several bears and other hungry critters in the area - we ask guests to store their food/coolers in their car at night and when they are not at the campsite. No food in the tent!

Up to 2 dogs ok, but they must be leashed or under voice control. No pups on the bed. Also must get along with other dogs, cats and chickens on the property. Property is not fully fenced. Please pick up the poop!

We had a great stay at Azalea. We arrived just after dark and everything was set up and welcoming for us. The site had everything we could have needed including an extra comforter we ended up using. After a day of driving it was nice to not have to do anything. We slept comfortably in the clean and quality tent setup. Would definitely return.

The camping location is tucked away in a wooded area behind Rosie's home, and once there you wouldn't imagine you were so close to residential homes! Only a short drive to beautiful beaches and the Redwood State and National Parks; this site was a great, cozy home base.

The bed was VERY comfortable, and though it rained quite a bit, the tree covering kept the picnic table reasonably dry. Rosie checked in with me via text on my second night to make sure I was warm enough, which was kind (I was!).

I was glad to have my small wagon to cart food to and fro to the car; a bear-box would be a nice upgrade to the site to eliminate that need, but it's a short walk so no biggie.

The bed and pillows were super comfortable. It was nice to land here after the late drive up from Fort Bragg, rather than having to set up our own tent for our first camping night up here. I love the composting toilet situation and the bin of some essential kitchen items (towel, sponge, dr. bronners, corkscrew, info, lantern) which greatly helped for washing dishes.

One smaller thing which some guests might not like if they're super sensitive to it, is the ceiling of the tent seems a little bit mildewy. Pretty normal for that to be the case in such a wet place as the coast is, but it may need to be addressed at some point by the hosts.

Perfect after a day of hiking. Not too far from the Redwoods. Very accurate description, and easy to find if you follow directions. Decent space for 2 adults. Comfy bed!

I loved my short stay at Azalea glamp! The bed was very comfortable which I needed after a long day of driving. The tent was clean and basic with a small table and lamp for reading. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Drinking water was provided and a composting toilet just a short walk from the tent. Rosie is an excellent host. When I accidentally left the book I was reading behind, she contacted me and offered to ship it.

We loved the location…an easy bike ride into Arcata. The tent was so cozy and we woke to the sounds of birds in the morning. Lovely little spot, we’ll come again!
