This Hillside location is run by a bunch of Joshua Tree Hippies, perfect for Spirit Journeys of all sorts, with a shared outdoor kitchen area with 2 grills, multiple fire pits, and room for multiple tents. (this is a hillside, please set up on flat spaces!) We are dog friendly, hippie friendly, and group friendly. There is a porto shared with the RV campers on the west side of the property, and the HipCamp side is to the east. If you're feeling adventurous, follow the solar lights to the gazebo on the first peak of the hillside, or go all the way to the top for beautiful views overlooking the Copper Mountain College BLM land and Desert Heights.

☆Please Note: The Hillside and Terraces are yours to explore, BUT There is separate RV Camping and an ongoing garden and renovation project on the Lower west side of the Property. Do not enter this side of the property beyond the windbreaks. This IS NOT part of the hipcamp site and is not approved for camper use due to safety and privacy of the long term RV campers and the owners' garden project. (They're pretty nice friendly hippies though, so if you lose your lighter or need reccs on where to find good munchies, let us know, if you're, super chill, they might even let you take instagram pictures with the vintage vans)

We had a great time because we make the best out of these situations but we called it after one night, the port-o-potty smell was just too strong. Had our fire at the furthest pit and it wafted the whole night. Went in one time, it was almost full, to make matters worse the its on uneven surface and tips a bit when you step in. This is a pack in pack out campsite but my party left with way more trash than we produced. This place has so much potential but the follow thru needs work.
Hiking up the hill on the lit path was super fun though!

Great little spot! Had a lovely walking path lit with solar lights leading to multiple seating areas. Wonderful area for stargazing & a fair amount of privacy!

Plenty of room to spread out, play games, and enjoy some of the finer things.
We particularly enjoyed the fire pit on the hillside during the windy evenings!
TwentyNine Palms even had several EV fast chargers in town.

Absolutely loved this gypsy desert space! It was lovely to watch the sunrise from the hammocks in the morning and have a fire up at the hillside gazebo at night. Jessica was very communicative about the parking+sand situation (ie. Don’t get stuck!!). We had a wonderful time!

Groovy spot down an Arizona dirt/sand road. There’s a trail up the side of the hill to check out the sunset. Quick & friendly communication - thank you!

Love this location! It was easy upon arrival, just pulled right up to a fire pit and settled in. The hammocks are a great, relaxing touch! The entire area is magical at night with the lights on the hill side. Great views if you hike up a bit as well.

Jess and Kyler were beyond helpful when our car got stuck in the dunes. They were able to dig us out and winch us to safety. The campground was well-kept and the porta porty was very clean. We felt very safe and Jess made sure we were well accommodated with everything we needed. Definitely recommend and hopefully we will be returning!

We literally decided to go tent camping in a drop of a dime , my family just moved here from Texas and never been camping in a desert! We we instantly booked and got step by step directions from Jessica even though it was around 6 pm and it was already dark didn’t show until about 9pm even has a store not to far to get extra supplies . This was one of the best spontaneous decisions our family could make to create ever lasting memories. Even the dog ! Very windy out there at night and cold bring plenty of blankets and things to keep that fire going !
