Perfect easter weekend getaway!
1st I'd like to say that Anna and all the staff are wonderful and very welcoming.
River and Mountains stay is Absolutely worth planning a visit to Springville if nothing else just to relax in this amazing cabin! It actually sits a little over the Tule river with windows all the way around giving you a very in nature feel. We fell asleep with the patio door open listening to sounds of the river.
Lets not forget the amazing park like setting that's at your disposal, complete with ponds, fountains, bridges and beautiful landscape to wander around and explore.
Finally let's talk about how this makes a perfect base camp to visit Bulch Park (Redwoods) or Mountain Home State Forest (Redwoods) just to mention a couple beautiful locations close by here.
Don't take long to plan your trip, I can guarantee this place will be booked non stop once the word gets out.
Super clean, fun adventure!
Great place to stay! Kiddos and I were graduating from backyard camping to something more "legit." The cabin is basic but very comfy and way better than a ground pad for sure. No electricity no problem: a LED lantern is provided. The photos are accurate, and it is located on a popular wedding venue with the beautiful grounds open for strolling. Swimming hole including rope swing located 5min walk upriver. Concrete bathroom building is about 2min walk away and includes flushing toilets and a shower. All in all, a great stay and the kiddos are already asking when we can return!
Quaint and unique setting, the little cabin is private, set in a grove below an old horse farm. The barn, the old race track, and the grounds were so lovely.. Bathrooms are warm and clean, but are more like 5 minute walk, so plan accordingly. Cabin is off the grid, but great lanterns were provided. Note that Verizon cell coverage ended 25 minutes away, at the reservoir, so download directions before you lose coverage. As promised, we were met at property and given a tour. Birds and frogs abound. This also serves as a wedding venue so could be busy on the weekends.
I would rate 6 out of 5 stars. Anna and the staff were so wonderful that we will definitely be coming back. This is a definitely a hidden gem. We slept two nights with the cabin sliding door open ope just to hear the soothing sounds of the river . The campsite is very clean and the staff works very hard to keep it so. Clean bathrooms and very friendly staff.
Amazing creek sound
The compound is amazing. It is a multi-use area, so they do host weddings and there are other campers as well, near the swimming hole. My wife and I enjoyed Anna’s hospitality and her staffs were also friendly and amazing. I loved their multitask of hosting us and preparing a wedding. We slept with the back door open to hear the running water, which is amazing.
For other hipcampers, make sure to bring a headlamp to walk to the bathroom at night. Also, bug spray, since we went during the Memorial Weekend, it was hot and mosquitos were out during dusk. Also, I downloaded a map of the area (Basemaps and OnX) and I had a physical map. You will loose signal and data. I encourage to visit the Sequoia National Forest which is nearby. The Sequoia National Park was 2hrs 30min, so plan accordingly when making plans.
We were welcomed warmly and given a little tour of the property by the host. The cabin on the river was a delightful refuge, with the sounds of the river as the background noise, day and night. We were visited by a bobcat and the following day a fox, who came by the river to look for refreshment. They were not interested in humans. The bathrooms are a 5 min walk away, and the swimming hole about an 8 min walk. The location is a good base for driving to see the Sequoias, California Hot Springs, hikes, and swimming holes in the area. The town of Springville is small, with limited food options.
