We spent 3 nights, most of Memorial Day weekend, at Aberdeen. Jay was really friendly and helpful, reaching out to us the day before our scheduled arrival. Our site had full hook-ups and worked out great. The RV park at Aberdeen is mostly a community of people who have a second home there. Everyone we met there was very friendly. Because it was Memorial Day weekend they had a community barbecue on Saturday night and a community pig roast/pot luck on Sunday. We were invited to both and were treated like a part of the group. We will definitely stop at Aberdeen when we're in the area again.
Nice spot between Death Valley and Yosemite. Stayed in D-11 and there was enough room for my 21ft van which backed up to Goodman Creek. People at the grounds were friendly and plenty of space down the road to walk the dogs.
Lisa, the camp host, was wonderful. She responded immediately when we tried to hook up to an outdated 50 amp outlet, needing a 30 amp, which was just on the other side of our RV. The sculpted wildlife on the tree stumps was beautiful, our encounter with the juvenile burrowing owl was magical. When a wind storm during the night carried our new aluminum camp table away Lisa found it in the creek just as we were ready to pull out. I just wish we had been able to stay for the weekend.
A nice small shaded area, very quiet at night. Good location between Independence and Bishop; lots of good hiking areas nearby. Great quick communication with J. Good info on places to eat and hike. Even had a nice view of the mountains from my spot.

Beautiful views and the people were so nice (even though we had screaming kids with us). Mostly full time people here and we had several people come greet us and talk to us. We only stayed one night and arrived late, so we didn't get to spend much time here unfortunately. We would definitely stay here again!
