Welcome to garden camping in Lighthouse Country, an escape to nature!
Our campsite provides a restorative stay in nature where you can take a break from work routines and enjoy the company of those who matter most.
The tent site is tucked into the south corner of our permaculture garden and food forest, under a maple tree and features a 15x15ft soft (playground pebble) surface, so there's ample room for your tent. There's a picnic table that seats 6 comfortably.
Go for a swim, go kayaking, spend the day hiking or simply enjoy a beautiful sunset. The activities nearby are endless!
This is the perfect jumping-off point to explore Lighthouse Country and Central Vancouver Island. Even for an afternoon of surfing in Tofino.
There is an outhouse a 1-minute walk from the campsite.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban.
Pets are welcome but please keep them on leash so they don't scare our chickens and ducks!
We look forward to hosting you.

Highly recommend this spot!! My partner and I stayed here for a week at Susan’s newly built, gravel filled tent site. It is a spacious site with a picnic table that easily fits a 4-person tent. We laid one down with sleeping mats, and we were nice and cozy all night.
When staying here, you can’t forget Tony (Susan’s husband), Bentley (their super friendly, doesn’t lick you, dog!), and the ducks (free wake up call!). They made us feel welcome but also gave us our privacy.
Super interesting fact: They are building Qualicum Bay’s (maybe even Van Island’s) first Earthship. An off-grid home, fully sustainable built using recycled materials. Truly a back-to-school science lesson for big kids.
