The space was lovely - perfect for a couples getaway close to the city. It was stocked with everything you would need (camping stove, cutlery/dishes, and a little sink with a foot pump). It’s a 2 min walk from the lake, very private and perfectly calm for a nice paddle. The hosts were kind and responsive.

We had a total break at Jana’s space. We would go back again in a heartbeat. It was a great place to unplug from the hustle and bustle of life and spend time in a beautiful forest with a lake close by and access to a canoe!

We really enjoyed this unique experience at Hayward Farms. All the essentials for camping were available and the space was very quiet. It was a perfect getaway from the city with a beautiful lake minutes away. Don’t forget your bug spray!

Glad you enjoyed your time with us Yoo Jin! (as a quick note, our property is called Forager Hill - Hayward Farms is our neighbours but it can be confusing because our driveways cross at the bottom of the hill!)

We loved the cabin! It's so cozy and warm inside. We had a great 2 night sleep. The lake was a short distance away. Swimming was super refreshing and the fish were fun to watch. The hosts were lovely and very accomidating. Thank you so much for letting us stay. A true hidden gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at Janna's cabin! The cabin itself is a short walk down from the main house where we parked. It's surrounded by beautiful lush forest and has ample privacy. Our host Janna was so friendly. She met us upon arrival and took us down to the cabin to show us around. She also provided us with fresh spring water for drinking that was collected shortly after we arrived.

The cabin had many of the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a queen size bed with a cute little window for sleeping located in the loft. This was easily accessible by ladder. The main floor of the cabin has an extendedable table, a bench (that can also double as an additional bed), a small wood burning stove inside where you can cook food and boil water, and a sink with a foot pump for the water.

There's a firepit outdoors for some campfire cooking, and there's also a camp stove with propane provided if you're in a rush and don't want to build a fire.

There's a path from the cabin that leads down to a dock that opens up to stunning lakefront views. A canoe with paddles and lifejackets was available for us to use during our stay so that we could explore the area by water.

If you love tiny cabins or more of a glamping experience (and are okay using an outhouse), we totally recommend booking this cabin!

Beautiful cabin in the most amazing forest. Janna was a wonderful host, we had everything we needed for a relaxing glamping style stay. Getting to and from the cabin is a short hike but it's got a good incline to it. The lake is a few minutes further down the path. Even though it feels remote, town is close making it the best of both worlds.

I would definitely stay here again and don't resitate to recommend this little spot.

I loved the location. The cabin was cozy but truly only was in it to sleep since I was on the lake all day thanks to the canoe. The little fire pit was tremendous for the evening. Will be back again.

Nice place! My kids really enjoyed it! They had fun starting a campfire and playing with the kittens! It happened to rain but they still had fun!

We had an amazing time at the Hayward Lake cabin - everything about it exceeded our expectations.

Firstly, the cabin: it's nestled in a private spot down the hill from the main house, and despite its modest size, it's very smartly laid out - every inch is thoughtfully utilized, from the expandable dining table, to the kitchen (with its impressively functional foot-pumped faucet), to the bench that does triple duty as a comfy bed and a storage space for the supplies that Janna and John stocked the cabin with. The mini wood-fired stove was a lot of fun to use and is cleverly designed - not to mention that it really rounds out the rustic coziness of the cabin when it's lit. Also, bonus points for the work that went into making sure the cabin was safe - there is a fresh fire extinguisher, a smoke alarm, and the upstairs loft has a fire escape ladder. It shows that Janna and John really care not only about our enjoyment, but also our safety.

Secondly, the location: the property is extremely lush and absolutely gorgeous. we had a wonderful time hiking through the trails and paddling on the calm waters with the Clipper canoe supplied by our hosts (I am told you can paddle all the way to stave falls!). If you like to fish, the lake and river are hotspots for salmon. The property is also a stone's throw from several parks for hiking.

Our hosts, Janna and John, were attentive, welcoming, and absolutely wonderful - I cannot recommend this property enough. We'll definitely be back :)

The little dock where the canoe lives. The trees on the property are huge! Note our fisherman in the lower right corner. It feels like you're in the middle of a rainforest. The loft in the top part of the cabin - very cozy with a view to outside. Our hosts, Janna and John, and the mini truck they use to move supplies to the cabin. Featuring a very excited duck!
