Located in the West Kootenays, Bear Spring Eco Retreat offers a private, self-contained guest suite in our large family home. Nestled in the mountains with stunning river views, our property includes an event centre perfect for intimate concerts or weddings (opening soon), edible gardens and a food forest. Our 300 acre property is perfect for urbanites seeking a rural experience immersed in nature with all the comforts of home. Located just 12 minutes from the artist city of Nelson, we're close enough to town to order take-out yet, just far enough to gaze at the Milky Way. All you need to bring is food. Enjoy nature walks, foraging, hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, snowshoeing and wild life viewing at or near our sustainable retreat.

Our bright, clean guest suite contains three bedrooms with 2 shared bathrooms, a common living area with kitchenette, private deck and BBQ. Each bedroom features a pillow top queen bed, organic cotton bedding, desk, dresser and eclectic decor and art. Guests have access to an outdoor fire pit and are encouraged to explore the trails and farm.
