Trapper Arts Retreat in NW Wisconsin has (3) waterfront sites and (1) wooded site. Located on a 1/4 mile long dead-end road (except Bob Lake West) on a 90 acre lake and only 5 minutes from the Chippewa County Forest! The Chippewa County Forest (over 10,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead is located about 5 miles away. You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. Trails wind past small lakes and beaver ponds, as well as spectacular vistas and abundant wild life. LIST OF SITES (all of our sites now include a portable toilet, firewood, fire ring, water, power, picnic table and/or chairs). BIRCH Waterfront is named for the beautiful birch trees that frame your view of the lake that also includes soothing evening loon sounds :) It is our medium size campsite with a level gravel and grass pad with lakefront access via the long wooded dock and an included row boat for fishing and boating. EAGLE POINT Waterfront is a favorite because it is the most private, surrounded by trees and is on a elevated waterfront lot with steps down to a dock. This site has a canoe and a row boat and the best spectacular sunset views. The eagle's nest is in a tall pine tree above the steps! BOB LAKE WEST Waterfront is our only site that is not on this dead end road. It is located on the west side of the lake near the boat landing. This site has a bonus small storage shed which could be a cool kids cabin. It is partially wooded elevated site with stunning sunrise views. WOODED RUSTIC is a non-waterfront campsite for both tents or RV's that has been updated to a site with power and water and includes access to the lake and a row boat at our common access which is only about 200 yards down the road from this site. RV's can park on the gravel pad and tent guests can setup down the walking trail in the woods. This property was previously owned by Trapper Art who was well known in the area and started several successful businesses dating back to 1967 including Art's Snowmobile, Trapper Arts, and Art's Electric which was quite an accomplishment in the Wisconsin Northwoods!

Bob Lake - Eagle Point Waterfront

99%
(124)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 40 ft
Our most popular secluded lakeside campsite that you share with the eagles that have a nest high in one of the tallest pine trees above this site. There is plenty of room to spread out in a spacious grassy area with rustic steps that lead down to a wooden dock where you can enjoy the included canoe or row boat. Bob Lake is a 90 acre no-wake lake and the water stays clean and clear so swimming and fishing is great. There is a public boat landing on the west side of the lake if you want to bring your boat. We have other Hipcamp campsites (not visible from this site) located along this dead-end road and each one has its own unique features so if this one is booked check out our other Trapper Arts Retreat campsites. NEARBY THINGS TO DO Hiking/biking guests can enjoy the Chippewa County Forest (16,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead that is located only 5 minutes from this campsite. You can enjoy many miles of trails. WHAT IS AT THE SITE? Rowboat, canoe and paddles, a small dock, water, power, portable toilet, firewood, fire ring, weber charcoal grill, table and chairs. We provide firewood and recently added a covered firewood stand but still highly recommend that you bring lighter fluid and charcoal if the weather has been damp to help get your campfire started. WILDLIFE - BE AWARE The eagles maintain their nest which is directly above the steps down to the lake and drop a lot of sticks and twigs so be sure to clear the path for your safety.  We love the eagles being there so try not to disturb them.  A bear has made an appearance on some trail cameras north of our property and and has been seen on the road coming back to the site so be careful to not leave any garbage outside. A bobcat has also made an appearance so again please be aware and do not leave pets unattended. NEAREST SEPTIC DUMP STATION - City of Bloomer Wastewater Treatment Plant - 2431 Chippewa Rd, Bloomer Approximately 15 minutes away and available and open 24 hours a day. The current charge is $3 and there is a container to deposit the fee.

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 40 ft
Large sunny waterfront site that can fit (2) medium size campers and/or tents. Compacted level lot with a hill on the back side and great views of Bob Lake on the front side.  Bob Lake is a 90 acre no-wake lake with great fishing (Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike) and there is a public boat landing on the west side of the lake if you want to bring your own boat.  There is a long wooden dock and a row boat available for use. We have several Hipcamp sites all located along this dead-end road which are not visible from this site.   NEARBY and THINGS TO DO The Chippewa County Forest (over 10,000 acres) Hickory Ridge trail head is located only 5 minutes from our site.  You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. WHAT IS AT THE SITE? This site has a long wooden dock and a row boat for your use. Don't forget your fishing poles! We have a picnic table, 2 chairs, a porta potty and a fire ring and firewood at the site. We ask that you do not burn any treated wood or trash/plastic in the fire ring.  PLEASE do not break branches or cut the trees.  WILDLIFE - BE AWARE:  A bear has made an appearance on some trail cameras near our property and we have also seen him/her on the road coming back to the site so be careful to not leave any garbage outside. We have also had a bobcat make an appearance near the next site so again please be aware and do not leave pets unattended. We have seen a doe and 2 fawns at the site and along the road coming back to the site so if you pull in slowly you might catch a glimpse of them. Wooded Site with Lake Access

100%
(31)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 40 ft
This site works great for both tents or RV's. There is a wooded site just off down the wooded path for our tent adventurers or a nice gravel site facing the woods for RV's or trailers. This site also has access to Bob Lake and use of a row boat at the shared common access which about 200 yards down the road (follow the signs). The waterfront access has a nice low bank and a row boat and the water stays clear so you can enjoy fishing or swimming in the lake. TENT CAMPERS: The tent campsite is located in the woods just a short distance down the mowed grass trail past the porta potty on the right and has a picnic table, chairs, porta potty, fire ring and firewood. If you have a vehicle park in the gravel parking area and walk back to the site. Please do not drive on the path as others have gotten stuck. RV's AND TRAVEL TRAILERS: Please park on the gravel pad and do not go down the path. Let us know if you are coming with a RV or TT and we will make sure to have the picnic table and fire ring and other items setup for you. PLEASE DO NOT drive any vehicles down the trail! It is a walking path only. FIREWOOD is provided and we do have a covered firewood stand but highly recommend that you bring lighter fluid and charcoal if the weather has been rainy to help get your campfire started. WILDLIFE: A bear has made an appearance on some trail cameras north of our property and and has been seen on the road coming back to the site so be careful to not leave any garbage outside. A bobcat has also made an appearance so again please be aware and do not leave pets unattended. Bob Lake West

100%
(18)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 40 ft
Stunning sunrise views at this large (approx. 1 acre) elevated lakeside campsite making it perfect for the early riser camping peeps in rvs, tents or both! Partially wooded with a large grassy area and a small shed (kid cabin), outhouse, dock, row boat and fire-pit area. Bob Lake is a 90 acre "no-wake" lake with great pan, bass and northern pike fishing. This site has enough room for 2 campers or rvs and/or tents making it a great group site. There are neighboring seasonal cabins on each side but the site is approx. 70 ft wide and 490 ft deep allowing plenty of space and it is still much more spacious (with included waterfront frontage and a dock) than a typical campground site. LOCATION: This site is in NW Wisconsin and only 5 minutes from the Chippewa County Forest which has many great hiking and biking trails and easy access for ATV and Snowmobile trails. Approximately 15 minutes from Bloomer or Cornell so it is just a short drive to get supplies if needed. We have a small dock if you want to bring your own boat or paddle boards or if you would just like to sit and fish. Don't forget your fishing poles! Want other site options? We also have 3 other sites on the east side of Bob Lake listed on Hipcamp so check those out if you are looking for something different. The are called Birch, Eagle Point and Wooded . Reach out if you cannot find them. NEARBY GROCERY STORES (Bloomer or Cornell) Shadicks Grocery - 1303 Main Street in Bloomer is approximately 12 miles west on Hwy 64 then south on Hwy 40 which turns into Main Street in city limits. KJ's Fresh Market - 522 Bridge Street in Cornell is approximately 10 miles east on Hwy 64 which turns into Bridge Street in city limits. NEAREST SEPTIC DUMP STATION - City of Bloomer Wastewater Treatment Plant - 2431 Chippewa Rd, Bloomer Approximately 15 minutes away and available and open 24 hours a day.
