The whole experience was wonderful! I had everything I needed right there. Their entire set up was super clean. They had a toilet and actual hot shower! They even offered me their wifi and outlet so I can work a bit during the week. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend camping here!

I loved my stay at the carriage house. It was so cozy, comfy and cute. There perfect spot just out of town to rest and recoup. Hope to stay again next time I’m in town!

Very easy to find nice remote feel but close to town. Very clean composting toilets, nice shower with hot water, picnic table and fire pit with nice dry firewood 👍🏻

Great spot near town without having to be in the thick of it. Leif was a friendly host. There are three dispersed sites all fairly close together, so it’s not fully private camping. However it beats being at a busy campground. One of the spots had a nice lawn to it which was great for our 6mo to play on. The outdoor toilets and shower are a bit exposed, but no big deal for those used to being in the woods.

We loved the Carriage House for our vacation to Glacier National Park. It was the perfect home base. It was easy to find. We loved being able to bring our dog with us. It had a wonderful kitchen for us to prepare our meals in. Close to all conveniences grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, and lakes. Location was beautiful!

Great, convenient location! I was visiting my daughter, at a nearby guest ranch, so this was perfect. The site is witihin a few miles of great hiking/biking trails, and Whitefish Lake State Park, close to town, so super convenient.
I would say the only downside would be the traffic noise , as hwy 93 is close by and is busy.

Beautiful spot close to West Glacier! The Carriage House has a full kitchen, bath and cozy beds. This amazing spot was so peaceful and quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place!

above and beyond what i expected— an incredible stay in a great location, with tons of charm and space to get cozy. great wifi, linens provided, plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen with charming string lights. a superb place to call home for two days— if i return the area, i’ll absolutely be booking again!
i want to note that i had hesitations with this stale smell a reviewer complained about— the entry area does smell damp but the carriage house is spotless, clean, and odor free. some people love to complain. highly recommend this place!

Leif was a great and personable host. He came by to check on us, but otherwise gave us our space. Communication was perfect, and place was easy to find per directions. Site, toilet, and shower are all as described , and location is great. I think this was a bad year for mosquitoes, so that was the only challenge, so be sure to bring plenty of repellent.

Pros: Great location, lovely setting and nice host.
Cons: Mosquitoes were so bad that it was unbearable to be outside. The toilets lacked privacy. When I was sitting on the composting toilet, I was looking in the windows of the campervan in the next campsite. As we were leaving, a camper was using the composting toilet and the sun was shining on her. It was as if the bamboo fence that was used for privacy screening was non-existence. She mooned us and I'm sure she would be mortified if she knew we could see everything. The hot shower was quite makeshift. The mosquitoes made the outdoor shower unusable plus the privacy was similar to the toilet and getting it set up and turned on was complicated.

It was such a blessing getting to stay at Leif’s humble abode! Amazing space in a peaceful area right around corner from town. If you’re looking for a private peaceful getaway this is your spot!

Hot shower, comfy bed, full kitchen and quiet location make this carriage house a great basecamp to explore Glacier and the surrounding areas for a few days. The location is 45 minutes from West Glacier and 2.5 hours to Many Glacier (if GTSR is closed). It's also 5 minutes from downtown Whitefish which has all the convivences one needs. As a solo female traveler I felt safe at all times. I would definitely stay at the carriage house again.

Leif has a great place. His land is secluded and backs up to the mountains. We loved that he gave us the location to set up our camp and that was it. He never intruded on our privacy. It was too cold for us to use the outside shower.

Had a fantastic couple of nights here in June 2022. Easy to get to and great after a long day hiking. We'd been camping for 4 nights before so this was a perfect little spot for us to get a shower and sleep in a real bed. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Nice wee balcony to sit and have a drink on in the evening or breakfast in the sun in the morning! Leif was lovely too!

We enjoyed our stay . It was very quiet and Leif was very friendly and helpful. The outdoor bathroom is a bit open and exposed but it was clean . You are minutes away from downtown and trails for bike riding . If your looking for an amazing sandwich place you must go to which-haus. We would definitely stay here again. ❤️

Exactly how it is described. We loved our stay at the Carriage House. The perfect location for a quiet wooded escape yet only minutes from Whitefish. We had our two dogs with us and took advantage of all the trails/lakes within a short distance away. The space itself provided a rustic retreat complete with a wood stove which came in handy for warmth and ambience during the chilly spring weather we had. Kitchen well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Would recommend and hope to visit again. Thanks Leif!

The Carriage House was great! It was a quaint cabin like apartment with all your basics-shower, beds, sheets, towels, fridge, and most cooking equipment. It is heated by wood burning fireplace and a portable heater. The land is a bit out of town, but beautiful, quiet, and had lots of deer. It is above their garage so had some bugs and a smell in the entrance, but other than that great.

It was easy and peaceful to camp at Leif’s. Beautiful, quiet location, yet close to town. We all felt safe and slept great! Some in a camper van and one in a tent. Water tasted great. Amenities were nice and as expected. Thank you Leif!

A nice peaceful spot just out of town from Whitefish. Hosts were friendly and we hardly saw them. A few extra flies, but I took care of those in a 10 min. sweep.... Would definitely use the Carriage house again...Thanks Leif and Amy.
