The grounds were well kept! Robert was very easy to contact and speak with also very accommodating. Directions were clear. Would love to come back for more than a few days next time.

This camping spot is gorgeous! Robert is a delightful host and has created a nice oasis in Colorado. I had to leave early, however, the stars were out, the moon was bright, it felt safer because other campers were nearby. The little creek running through provided lovely sound and animals as well. I will be back!

I loved camping on Robert’s land! Robert was a great host, he waited on the property for everyone to check in and was around for questions. We found some wasps in one of the outhouses and Robert took care of them right away and checked on the outhouse everyday to clean it and help with the wasps. It was a great stay in a beautiful area. Decently secluded from others with amazing views all around. Would definitely stay again if I’m back in the area.

Campsite has beautiful views, is super quiet & is convenient location for getting to hiking & biking trails & town of Carbondale. We slept here in our camper van for 3 nights while attending the Carbondale Mountain Festival. Campsite was level, cut grass, accessed from paved road & gravel driveway.

This is a great camping spot! Right near Carbondale and down the road from Aspen. Lots of space, right by a small stream, and Robert, the host, is super welcoming. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Beautiful spot - we just wish the info was a little clear that it was more a campground type set up. There were several sites nearby and about 15-20 other people around so it got a little noisy. However, it was nearby great hikes had well-maintained outhouses, and helpful guide lights, and the host was very nice.

We loved staying here at this beautiful site. The creek is serene and lovely and the fairy lights at night make the campsite feel magical. We got to chat a bit with Robert, and he was kind and generous. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a beautiful and peaceful spot. I stayed at the peninsula site, and the creek meanders around you on three sides. There is a nice picnic table and Adirondack chairs at the site. There were deer that wandered through the meadow to eat and play every day. The outhouse is rustic but very nice and well supplied with TP, fresh wipes and hand sanitizer. I had some difficulty initially finding the property, so I recommend following Robert’s explicit instructions, and not your apple map. I will definitely stay here again, it is a short drive to civilization, but feels like you are really getting away from it all.

We loved the stay at Robert’s Red camp at Coulter Creek. We camped 3 nights. This is a beautiful land and a peaceful place. Lots of space. We took our shower tent too. No portable water as mentioned in the description. Need to take your own. Clean outhouses. Robert is a nice person. Highly recommended. We will come back for sure.

Incredible camping spot! Quiet, lush foliage because of the creek, the hike up the 4WD trail yielded awesome views of Mt Sopris, the Maroon Bells and more (and a cell signal!). Robert is a great host. We enjoyed chatting with him both days we were there. He really cares, and is a wealth of information on the area

Great place, off the beaten path. Only request…looked like the grass hadn’t been cut in a while. We are all for natural beauty of a location but a little patch for the tents and trimmed path to the out house would have been great. It had rained pretty hard the day we arrived and walking with the wet, long blades of grass made for an damp setup. Other then that, a really lovely location. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrived at sunset to a glorious, serene spot and beautiful views. The turnoff was easy to find thanks to Robert’s directions and we lucked out having the land to ourselves. Quaint little lights turn on at dusk, adding to the magical feel and winding through the campsites you will find the very definition of a meandering stream. A calm, zen feature to fall asleep to. In the evening, we watched bats dipping for bugs and listened to coyotes howl in the distance. We woke up to a deer gracefully galloping past our camper. The on-site compost toilets were the nicest and cleanest we’ve see, complete with tiny interior lights for nighttime business. This was a wonderful stop on our road trip.

Great site, very well maintained. We were a group of guys that hiked the next day but would be good for families too. Outhouses were actually nicely done and clean. Nice little stream to set up next to. Only minor drawback would be proximity of the road. You could hear cars but the frequency was low.

Very pretty little spot in a valley along a creek. Feels very secluded while not being far from the road. The outhouse was very clean and Robert was very helpful. Walk to the top of the hill next to the campsite for a great views and the surrounding mountains and hillsides!

Robert’s place was an amazing retreat to relax and take in the gorgeous views. The creek brought much peace while sleeping and the little extra special attention to detail did not go unnoticed ( solar lights, chairs, picnic table, outhouse essentials). Would definitely stay again!!

We had the most wonderful time! The creek was lovely to listen to before bedtime. The pathway alongside the creek had solar lights making it so you could find your way to the bathroom and not walk into the creek. The chairs and table were so nice to have as well! We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Oh and the deer were in camp- it was so so neat to see! Oh and the views- just beautiful stars and sunsets. Can’t say enough good things!!
