Road Apple Acres - peaceful camping
The owner is super nice and helpful if you need anything, the campsites are private and decently large, it’s a steep walk/ drive up to the camp sites but not horrible, the owner supplied us with a small tent with a portable toilet for the weekend as well, great place for weekend or summer camping.

We loved the laid back atmosphere and the friendly animals. Ernie is a great host. He made sure that we had all that we needed for a wonderful camping experience.

Great experience. The lots are very private. Mike was wonderful and led us to our spot. They provided water and a portable toilet. Played music in the beautiful barn at night. Note that Google Maps is wrong - follow the directions Ernie sends (or there is a mobile vet clinic next door, so putting that into my Google maps worked). Wonderful place if you’re looking for a private place to camp and some great tunes.

Road Apple Acres - peaceful camping
Like camping in alpine meadow with flowers and fruit everywhere. So green and peaceful. Not one sound of city noise at anytime.
Ernie and Mike are so attentive to there client's. They brought me a tent with a porta potty inside. They brought well water to clean dishes in a container with a tap. At first I thought a little pricey but after you've been there it's well worth it.
They also encourage if you play an instrument to bring it and jam with them down at the barn.
I highly recommend.

Overall a great experience. Only complaint is that there were no real washroom facilities, just a compost toilet. There is a proper toilet in the barn, but that is a 5 minute drive away. The views were lovely, campsite on grass so easy to put up tent, lots of wild raspberries available to munch on. And Mike was very helpful and checked on us a few times.

We loved tent camping here! The views are spectacular and it's so peaceful and quiet. The camp sites are do far apart it feels like you're in your own little out door oasis. The kids loved the animals and we so enjoyed listening to the guitar around the campfire. Both hosts were so friendly and accommodating and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone e looking for a camping spot!

The campground is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Ernie and Mike, the hosts, are very attentive and kind.
The place has horses, goats and dogs very friendly making the place very suitable for children. The campground has plenty of space for children to run around and explore. Definitely we gonna comeback and recommend this place.

Ernie and Mike were great hosts. We loved our site, it was private, spacious and nestled in some amazing scenery. Mike supplied us with firewood, water and our own portable toilet with tent for our site. Our kids loved exploring on the well maintained trails. Due to the wet road conditions we were unable to drive up but Mike took all our gear up in the tractor and even helped us set up our tent as it started to rain. We had a great time and plan to return in the future. Very friendly staff, Thanks!

Ernies amazing property is located a short drive from Edmonton yet feels like you’re a lot further out in nature so it’s perfect for a quick weekend camping getaway with a beautiful view ! Our site was HUGE. Fit 2 Tents, a Shelter, 3 Tables, 2 Vehicles, and still had plenty of space to sit around the fire and play games off to the side. Also Mike the groundskeeper was a real solid dude and brought us anything we needed right away after asking him including water and firewood which was only $5 a bundle so you can’t go wrong ! We hope to return and recommend this site to all you campers out there!

This is one of the best place I have ever been as a camper. My family and I fell in-love the moment we saw the view we had on our campsite. Perfect for stargazing and so peaceful. We were at #40. Please don’t steal our spot LOL.
Once we got there, we were warmly greeted by Ernie and Mike. They are very friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately, it rained the whole morning before we get there so we can’t bring our car to the campground but that was not a problem at all because Mike helped us bring all of our stuff to our campsite by hauling everything in a tractor LOL it was a bit muddy and bumpy ride but OMG our campsite is SO AMAZING!
We were also able to meet the other campers during the jam session night. Mike sang couple of songs for us and shared stories. It was awesome!
We only stayed for one night as that was the only time my family and I are available but we could have stayed longer if not because of our work the next day. We will definitely go back to this place with some of our friends and relatives.

We had an amazing time camping at Road Apple Acres. There are so many trails around the property and the sites have plenty of space between so privacy is not an issue. Mike and Ernie went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Our dogs loved playing with the friendly farm dogs as well. Will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay here! The camp manager, Mike, was very welcoming and kind. We really enjoyed chatting with him and his guided tour of the grounds. It was such a quiet and peaceful stay, and the views were stunning. We can’t wait to come back!

Road Apple Acres - peaceful camping
Road Apple Acres is truly a lush and quiet gem of a campground. If you want a peaceful camping experience with a welcoming and kind host, then this is the place. The sites are well-spaced apart, allowing for privacy and a relaxed way to get away from city life.
Mike, the camp manager, took good care of us and ensured we had everything we needed. He even brought us a large container of water right at our campsite. We were fortunate to come when the air was clear and the weather was beautiful. Our first night was the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. There was no moon, and our site was roomy, so we had an unimpeded view of the night sky. Jupiter and Saturn were visible, as were the spectacular meteors streaking across the sky! Amazing.
Our young one .loved feeding the miniature horses and exploring the many paths throughout Ernie’s campground. We picked raspberries and took pictures of some plants to identify at home since we forgot our nature book.
Ernie and Mike were very hospitable and invited my husband down to play his ukulele with them around a campfire.
Overall, it was a wonderful camping experience and ticked all of our wants: quiet, secluded, and family-friendly. Our little family can’t wait to come back!

My family and I had an unforgettable camping experience at Road Apple Acres. Ernie and his staff are so friendly and worm-harted, we sit around the fire pit to enjoy the music show, which brought some beautiful memories to us. It is not just a campsite, it is home for the travelers to relax and enjoy. Huge thanks to Ernie, we will visit again and recommend Road Apple Acres to my friends for sure.

This is a fantastic campground that Ernie has put together with the help of his groundskeeper, Mike. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the hosts are super friendly. We had been traveling for more than 12 hours and they had already prepared our campsite for us. Their dogs are great and their barn is very unique. I highly recommend anyone to stay here on their way through Alberta.

The site is so huge and quiet! If you want to have a piece break this is the perfect place.
Ernie is a great host and always here to help you. Kids have so much fun with horses and dogs. This is a really good place!

What a great little spot that Ernie has. It’s truly an absolute gem of a site - we’ll be coming back for sure.
Numerous spots for you to choose where to pitch your tent, with a fire pit and picnic bench always close at hand. The complimentary box of firewood was a really nice touch. Ernie’s a great host as well and was more than happy to let me and my daughter visit with the horses and play with the dogs.
Would be a great to take the whole family out here for a weekend.
