A short hike from camp will put campers at an onsite stream with waterfalls. The property serves as a convenient hub for near by adventures which include Devil's Den State Park, hiking, mountain biking, floating, fishing, and horseback riding. Bed (bring your own bedding) and wood stove! The camp is down a well maintained gravel road but is steep in places. Most vehicles have no issues driving to the camp, but if you are in a long wheelbase rear wheel drive vehicle or are uncomfortable driving on a steep road, you might consider staying else where. Perfect hidden getaway...
Pretty amazing hidden away spot. The tent was great! Its stomed off and on the 2 days I stayed and not a drop of water anywhere. I spent the days at devils den hiking and swimming and was perfect place to end my day. The hillside would fill with lightning bugs at dusk and a symophny of animals would come to life as the sun set. The storms rolled in made for perfect weather to sleep to and to wake to.
Had an amazing stay with the family here. Colby was a great host, showing us around the land and the nearby waterfall! Everything was well taken care of and clean. Would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a relaxing getaway.
Wonderful stay in the canvas tent
My daughter, grandkids and I truly loved our stay in the Canvas Tent. It was our own peaceful paradise for two days. We loved the tent with its nice wooden floor, airy windows and front porch to get out of the rain when needed. The light shining through the tent walls in the mornings was a soft, cheery yellow. We fell asleep to bullfrogs and crickets along with an occasional owl hoot and coyote howls. I loved drinking coffee by the pond and watching the mist rise in the mornings. The kids put a picnic blanket out by the pond one day to play the Oregon Trail card game which we found in the tent. We followed the orange trail markers and found the beautiful waterfall and swim hole. We enjoyed that swim hole and creek several times during our stay. We explored down the creek discovering such pretty, neat areas along the way. Colby told us if we went far enough we would find a deep swim hole with a rock ledge which you could jump off of into the water. We found that and the kids had a blast jumping off. It was only a short drive to Devil's Den State Park and we spent one day exploring and hiking on the neat trails there seeing the little lake, waterfalls and caves. It was a great camping adventure and we loved feeling like we had the place to ourselves. Colby was friendly welcoming and we enjoyed talking to him one evening. We enjoyed saying hello to their friendly dogs who visited us a couple of times during our stay.
Stopped here on our east coast to west coast road trip. Cutest little spot in the woods. The host is nearby if you need anything but not close enough to even know he is there. I stayed here with my 2 sisters and friend for 2 nights. They were great and answered our calls when we had a late check in and couldn’t find the place in the dark. The tent was super clean and spacious enough for a full size air mattress and 2 cots. Make sure you take the walk to the waterfall!! 15 minute walk through the woods and you’re at your own private oasis. We ended up getting stuck on the gravel road on the way out due to our lack of driving skills lol but Colby was amazing and sent his brother Tyler out to help us. Tyler was 10/10 and got us out of our predicament quickly and with a smile on his face. If I’m ever back in Arkansas or a friend is visiting this would be my first choice. We even saw deer on our way out. Thanks again Colby and Tyler. If you’re lucky their dog Fox will visit you at the campsite and give you hugs. If your car doesn’t have 4 wheel drive and hills scare you then I’d consider elsewhere but neither of our vehicles had 4 wheel drive and we made it in and out with almosttttt no issues.
The perfect place to relax! Quiet and peaceful with a beautiful little waterfall just a short hike away. Colby responded quickly to our texts, and was very helpful in every way. We would absolutely stay again!
