Ozark Hill Top is the best place for dispersed camping in this entire region. The host has several isolated areas and multiple sites to choose from in each. This is absolutely the quietest place I’ve been with Hipcamp; you will only hear the sounds of nature here.
The host was great. He made sure I found a site that was to my liking and checked to make sure that I had the necessary gear to be in the backcountry.
The only caution I will give is to take the host seriously when he recommends 4-wheel drive. The dirt road from the blacktop to the host’s property has several sections that would be difficult for a regular car to navigate. While the road doesn’t require a Jeep, it is a lot of fun in one.
If you like dispersed camping and want to make do with what nature provides, Ozark Hill Top, is the place.
I will definitely camp here again!
