Tent camping was great. We went in mid-May and there was so much beautiful greenery. Site was well kept and clean. Trees covered the campfire area and the spot we chose to pitch tent, making it nice and cool.
Could use a clearer marker to the entrance of the site. Directions are great but even a small contrasting sign to catch your eye would be awesome.
Definitely staying here again though, it has such a great layout and even a very small pond we walked around
So much bird song!! Super private. Felt remote, but just 5 miles from I-40. I arrived after dark and Grant put a lantern out for me so I could see where to go. Lovely spot. Very sweet dogs visited me in the morning

Great secluded spot! Sweetest doggies made us feel extra protected. GPS took us directly to the spot, helpful extra directions (landmarks) and a light at our turn made it easy to find. Does have a rocky inclined road up, but had no problem with our car. Came in at midnight, No 4WD needed for us. Beautiful spot with birds, fantastic greenery, and even a few deer meandered through. Would definitely stop here again.
This is a lovely, quiet place to camp, with no one around except occasional visits from Millie the dog, and plenty of tree frogs. The outdoor shower is lovely in the late afternoon sun. Grant suggested boating on the Mulberry River, as well as a few local hikes, and all of his suggestions were excellent. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a good one.
Grants place is beautiful, peaceful, clean and he is a great host. No light pollution, so the stars were fantastic. I would stay at Sawmill Ridge again. Thank you Grant.
Our group of four woman enjoyed this location. Especially because it provided much more privacy than a public campground. It had everything we needed. A nice flat place to pitch our tent, pit bathroom, a fire pit, and drinkable water nearby. We were grateful for the complimentary firewood at the location from the host. We also loved the visits from one of the sweetest dogs. From this location, we hiked Devils Canyon, White Rock Rim, and Redding Rock/Spy Loops. All with-in a 45 minute drive from the campsite.

We loved staying here! It was the perfectly quiet, peaceful place to stay for a night on our cross country roadtrip. The property was beautiful and the campsite was lovely. Thanks for a great stay!
Campsite was great! Area was cleared out and had an awesome fire pit and the dogs were friendly. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
This was my first time using Hipcamp and Grant's place was the perfect place to start. Secluded, quiet and conveniently located near all the trails I was hoping to see. Grant was great at communicating and was quick to answer any questions I had. As previous people in the reviews had mentioned, there is a steep hill and tight turns, but nothing my little Honda Fit couldn't handle. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Would definitely recommend.
