Have multiple sites already but you are free to do as you will to enjoy whatever it is you're after, the Hideaway can provide! Surrounded by mainly Cedar and Pine Forest. Two mountain streams provide plenty of waterfalls and swimming holes (with the best Walleye bait, bring your rods :) Or maybe you would prefer staying high atop or under an Indian Cave? Overlooking the two mountain streams as they converge? Streams in stereo lol. At the acre and a half clearing, or base camp as I call it, there is even two solar waterfalls and "bubbling tree stump" for your viewing and auditory pleasure for thr RV or truck campers that may not be able to set up camp in front of one of the many other natural waterfalls. Over 90 miles of ATV / UTV trails. (Street legal throughout Fairfield Bay even:) Bring your skoot, you will not be disappointed. Just over a mile from the Beautiful Middle Fork of the Red River for floating/kayaking/fishing enjoyment. And then there's beautiful Greers Ferry Lake, also just over a mile away. A gorgeous Clearwater Island dotted Lake. Hike high atop Sugarloaf Mountain Island. Amenities abound! Everyone is guaranteed at least an acre to themselves. And most times YOU will be the only ones here! Trust me, this is not a KOA campground! It is a completely off grid site. No power, no running water. Not to say that is not available. Toilet available and outdoor shower with hot water available as well. Please feel free to hit me up with any questions and I will be more than happy to oblige. Outdoor kitchen facilities available if needed. Also have most equipment needed for rent as well. And can provide meals as well...completely catered experience! To be 100% honest i was hesitant going to hillbilly hippie hideaway because of a comment saying the host was creepy. i’m here to tell you that was not at all my experience. Aron was such a sweet guy and great host! he made me and my boy friend feel nothing but comfortable.
I wore nothing but a bathing suit almost the whole time i was there and not once did i feel uncomfortable being around Aron! he was helpful, fun to talk to, and a sweet guy just trying to enjoy nature and share it with everyone else!
i will 100% be coming back and am super excited to. although the creeks were dry this time around it was still beautiful and Aron made us feel at home. (he also has a very cute dog that is super friendly!) 10/10 experience.

Awesome site! Aron is a cool guy and he’s got the friendliest dog too! Lots of nature to see, it’s peaceful, and lots of waterfalls as well. Be better than me and remember to bring your bug spray! Trees provide lots of shade and shelter from the rain. It’s really a magical place. Nothing but good vibes.

Tent camping on Aron's land was great, lots of well designed and cleared campsites, plenty of hiking, a few swimming holes, good parking, and just really beautiful land; sprawling, isolated and dense forests. Not to mention that Aron was a great host and very accommodating to his guests. I did not bring a pet but other people had their dogs out their and they seemed to love it as much if not more than their people.

Thanks so much Paul...your welcome anytime!
The best tent camping in arkansas
We absolutely loved everything about Aron's property! Water features galore. The swimming hole and natural waterslide were two of our favorite spots, not to mention our camp site right next to one of the waterfalls! We were able to canoe down the river one day and caught my first walleye! Aron was a great host. This place changed our lives and we will definitely be back!! Highly recommend

Thanks SO much guys! I'm honored to have you stay with me on your birthday! Hope to see you guys back soon man!
Directions were clear, laid was beautiful, especially the waterfall stream.

Thanks Gemma, I enjoyed your stay!
The Hideaway was straight MAGIC. Both Aron and his pup were beyond accommodating and helped us with everything from finding bait, to getting the kayaks in, and entertaining the kids with food and bringing us the best smelling cedar firewood on the planet.
Quirky and fun- the paths are all lined with bud light beer cans as markers. Those actually really helped us!!
The campsite was overlooking the waterfall that was lit up with lights at night. BEYOND scenic no matter where you traveled to on the grounds. The kids (11 and 8) were so busy exploring, playing in the waterfalls and sliding down the natural water slide they didn’t ask for their phones once- which tells you something.
We drove 8 hours just to visit and will absolutely be doing it again.

Aloha Alxzondra. Thanks so much for the great review, love the pics! Really enjoyed your stay and so honored that you would come all the from Des Moines just to see the Hideaway! Sure glad it didn't disappoint! Give those great kids my Aloha as well please. And really hope to see you back with your dog...Akua get a bit lonely at times;)
It was so bad we didn't stay. There was no privacy. Beer cans everywhere. The host was drunk and creepy. No water. It was disgusting to say the least.

Aloha Anna. Sorry about your disappointment but I think we should review...You wanted to book a site after 5:00 PM on a Sat. on the busiest camping weekend of the year. Told you I nothing left, then made a spot for you, when I was busy throwing a Campers Appreciation Happy Hour with yes, Beer, wine and food. Yes I was drinking, drunk...NO. Oh, and beer cans are trail markers? Bud "Lights" the way. And it may seem a little out of place there at your campsite which I call sponge Bob's because of all the funky moss in that area. It's called nature preservation, to keep from it all getting trampled? Guess Moma was right...you'll never gonna make 'em all happy. Best of luck in your future camping endeavors...your gonna need it sista.
Nice trails was peaceful and beautiful water fall
