Private sites
100% of recent Hipcampers say the sites felt private.
We have 40 acres of woods, waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a quiet, natural area to camp in, and destinations to see close by. Private area with sun, and plenty of shade. Blackberry's are available to pick in late June or early July. There are three logging trails you can hike just behind the campground. They lead to a creek you can follow for moderate hike. There are cliffs, and plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are a short drive away from Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek(big cat sanctuary), War Eagle Cavern, and War Eagle Mill. Hobbs State National Park is close by off Scenic Highway 12, with biking, and walking trails galore! We are also close to many of the NW Arkansas mountain biking trails in the area! Access to Beaver Lake is a short drive or a long hike down the scenic rock roads. Due to the remote, and private location, we ask that anyone "under the age of 21" be accompanied by an adult who is twenty one years old or older. Safety is very important to us. We are looking forward to seeing you. Happy Camping!

Site 2 - Happy Hippy Acres
This camp ground was great! Beautiful site with a picnic table, access to water and a bathroom, and multiple good fire pits. Very spacey, good for large groups and great hammock trees! Definitely recommend for a weekend trip, also lots of access to water for fishing, the creek was a little low while we were there so we unfortunately didn’t get to fish but it was still nice hanging out by the water. Super nice hosts as well! Thanks Jill and Jerry!

Site 1 - Happy Hippy Acres
Great for camp fires + stargazing
This campground is a great option for anyone looking to explore northwest Arkansas and the Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area. It’s clean, secluded and in the woods, which makes it perfect for stargazing. I also saw a small owl while sitting around the campfire.

Site 1 - Happy Hippy Acres
Camping with family & 3 fur babies
We loved camping here at Happy Hippy Camp! 🏕️. Beautiful surroundings, easy hiking to Beaver Lake and very quiet and oh my the sky lights up with the stars you can see! Jerry the host is fantastic! He is super nice and made sure our site was ready for us with cut wood 🪵 for fire pit 🔥 , port a tent was clean and came with toilet paper and he had a fresh 7 to 10 gallon water jug full for us drink and cook with. We stayed two nights and had the best time and for sure will return and stay again. I give site a five stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cutest Retro camper trailer ever
Possibly the cutest retro camper trailer ever. Complete with Grateful Dead curtains :-). It’s the little things, and the Stranger Things that make all the difference.

Lovely stay in camper
I had a wonderful time solo camping in Jerry and Jill’s cozy, off-grid camper. The camper is located near the two camp sites but each is set far enough apart in the woods to feel very private. The camper/site is equipped with water (in a large jug), a composting toilet, chairs and small folding tables, a fire pit and firewood, but you should bring all other camping supplies. I met Jerry on my way in and he was very kind and helpful, he and Jill both checked in via text to let me know they were there if I needed anything. The land itself is beautiful, secluded, and tranquil, with great hiking about 20 minutes away in Hobbs State Conservation Area. It wasn’t the season for it during my stay, but Jerry did leave a list of local swimming holes that I’m sure would be fantastic in the summer. The road to get to the land is dirt/gravel and very winding, Google Maps took me to the wrong location on my first try—I recommend Apple Maps, which found it no problem. After you turn off the main road, opposite their mailbox, you follow the path down and turn right before the first gate (marked with traffic cones) to reach the camp area. Very dog-friendly, no other campers were there the weekend I stayed so my dog was able to be off-leash the whole time and loved it. Feels very remote—the camper is the perfect spot if you’re looking to be in the middle of the woods but don’t want to pitch a tent or need a little more warmth. I would definitely return to tent camp as well!
