Amazing place to stay!
I’ll start off by saying we were unsure about this campsite but were blown away by the hospitality and quality we experienced. Communication with the host was fantastic, the groundskeeper that took care of us was incredibly friendly, and the space we had available was perfect. It’s a completely fenced in property which was great for letting our dogs off leash, we had full access to a bathroom, were able to use the charcoal grill they had on site, and we had an unbeatable view of the stars. On top of all this, it was very private and safe.
I was very happy with this place and it seemed like they have plenty of plans for the future to make it even better!
Nestled beautifully in a very quiet residential area off the beaten track. Lovely views of the hills and we slept great!
Joe, the caretaker, is a kind and gentle soul with the best of intensions. Though the place wasn’t entirely ‘up and running’ (opened only a few weeks earlier), it is still a comfortable setting and we felt very safe.
Communication was excellent.
Peaceful piñon place
Unique property nestled in the pinions. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunrise. Joe, the property manager, was super friendly, helpful and so hospitable. We have a 27’ bumper pull and if it was any bigger we would’ve fit through the fence, but in a motor home or van or even car camping this place is great. We made it and we’re so glad we did. There is a nice area for guests to use with a charming bathroom/shower, lounge area and cozy bar. We were boondocking so we just appreciated the ambiance. Cell phones not so much, even with my booster, but there was WiFi. Great for the dogs. Fenced in. We would happily stop by again if I’m in this area.
Miracle on the mountain
This was a miracle. We had just driven from Death Valley and was planning on staying in Hualapi Mountain Park....which was on fire, so no access. Opened up HC and found William offering his backyard. Right where I wanted to be. William and Joe (and the 2 dogs) were great. Lots of great advice for the travel ahead through AZ.
Boondocking among the forest
This was a new experience for us! We have both been camping around the Southwest for our entire lives, and this was a first! The place is just as described; a real forest of cedar and piñon. We boondocked in front of the barn, and enjoyed the trees. The caretaker, Joe, is a real character, and we enjoyed hearing his stories about the area. Thanks for putting up with our late arrival, Joe! Annie really enjoyed the dogs, too.
