Greetings fellow adventure lovers! Thank you for stopping by. We have made a few changes here at VRV, mainly we now host in Cabins in the beautiful Verde Valley of Arizona. Enjoy thousands of miles of forests, rivers, lakes, swimming, hiking all nearby and all the while being comfy and cozy for a nights recharge to do it all again the next day. Each Cabin is fully equipt (hot water/appliances) as a BnB/Adventure base during your stay providing a comfortable, cozy and unique location for couples or small groups/families to enjoy while adventuring and creating positive memories in the area. We provide various suggestions on local activities for our guests to enjoy as well as helpful tips to get the most out of your time in this stunning area.
LOCATION: The Verde River is a few minutes away, Sycamore Canyon offers a world of undisturbed sites and amazing swimming holes without the crowds to check out as well as a list of other local spots to explore. Sedona and the Vibrant town of Cottonwood Arizona are both in close proximity with many out and indoor activities to offer. Or if you prefer, just hang out on the property and enjoy the wood heated Jacuzzi under the stars! We also like to stoke the wood heated "Sauna" after a long day out exploring (spa/sauna seasonal). If you are feeling like a fun trip you can also drive by dirt road through the high desert Red Lands and beautiful scenery to Sedona all on the back roads without touching pavement one time from the VRV.
*We do like to let our guests know that our neighboring property is a Nonprofit Doggo Rescue and Rehab center working to rehabilitate rescue Doggos to prepare them for new furever homes. They do offer Volunteering for those interested. Walking Puppies to the River, and other options are available as well as the Center is a "Free Range" facility which means you will hear them bark at times so if you are someone sensitive to Doggos we like our guests to be aware*

jason’s place was a dream. the juniper cabin is far from primitive and is complete with a full bathroom with a shower, full kitchen complete with cooking equipment and utensils. my dogs had freedom to roam the property, there is a gate that can be closed and there were no other guests while we were there. not too far from town, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet and the night sky. would definitely stay again!
A great spot to stay and explore Sedona. A little off the beaten path outside Cottonwood, but still close enough to all the popular hikes and sites. The loft cabin was very comfortable and great for our pets. Jason and his grandmother were super accommodating and made sure we were set up well for our short stay
Jason is a guy with such great energy. His land is far enough away to be away but close enough to be a short drive from everything. We loved sitting on the porch as the sun was setting.. our dog loved the yard freedom. All the needed amenities are there. Loved our stay.
My family ended up at the casita for our stay. Jason is such a friendly and accommodating host. This area of town is so beautiful with lots of options of activities to pick from.
Jason rocks and so does this camping spot. Secluded but incredibly close to town. We had an amazing hike in the woods and then walked 10 minutes into town for dinner and drinks. Jason is an awesome human and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The bathroom was clean and convenient as well. We highly recommend this place!
We had a great stay on Jason's land! Being the week of Thanksgiving and in light of Covid we knew any public camping area was going to be extremely busy. Staying at the Verde River Vortex gave us the solitude we were looking for while being close to everything. Jason provided lots of great info about the area and was super responsive, even on Thanksgiving Day when there was a small issue. I'd highly recommend staying here!
Great location! Jason was awesome and his property is perfect. Beautiful and private yet close to any tourist things you want to do in Sedona. My only regret is not staying longer!
Jason was fantastic and the site was perfect. I’m a single female traveler and felt perfectly safe! I can’t wait to go back!!!
