We own 6 acres in high desert prairie land surrounded by the Petrified Forest National Park. Six designated spots to camp or RV on with plenty of space and a firepit. Big sky and panoramic views. You can hear the train whistles from the BNSF railway a few miles south of us. Free range cattle are also in the area, and might come wandering through. We’ve seen eagles, jackrabbits and pronghorn in the area as well.

You can see the Petrified Forest all around us and we are 16 miles to the main entrance of the National Park. We are 25 miles from Holbrook, AZ, which has a Safeway, gas stations, restaurants, and Route 66's only active movie theater, Roxy Theater. Even closer is Sun Valley, AZ, which has a convenience store.

Our family of 4 lives here full-time off grid. We will be here to answer any of your questions. There's plenty of privacy in this area, our nearest neighbors are a ways away. As Arizona has legal medical and recreational marijuana, we are a smoking and cannabis friendly property, just make sure to take care of your butts/waste, ashtrays aren't provided.

Contact us if you're interested in having large groups, parties, or events.

Because of a traffic delay we arrived in the dark- it was fairly easy to find and so fun waking up in a place we hadn’t seen. You can see for days! Super close to Petrified Forest and a great stop on our way through. We were tent camping and it was cold! But we were prepared. The hosts run a generator most of the night- we were tired, so it wasn’t completely annoying.

Stopped for two nights! Beautiful and quiet property. Close to Petrified National Park. Amazing stars at night, quiet cows walking by, and excellent firewood dropped off! What more can you ask for!

The stars were amazing!!! The site was further off the highway than we thought from looking at the map, but it was definitely worth the drive. We woke up to a gorgeous sunrise and an unbelievable view. Jorge was very nice and very hospitable. We arrived quite late, and he still met us and showed us to a perfect campsite. We stayed in our van, but he has tents located on the property that look extremely comfortable. I would recommend this site to everyone.

Rainbow ranch is located a few miles from the highway. Jorge was extremely accommodating, offering to meet us in the event we get lost. We booked last minute and it was already dark. Pulling in we weren’t exactly sure where we were staying, but as the sun came up the land was beautiful.

Jorge's place is an excellent location if you're visiting petrified forest national park. He welcomed us upon arrival and was super kind to offer us an upgrade to stay in their new tent. The directions he provided to get to the property were easy to follow, the GPS coordinates took us right to where we needed to be. Arriving before dark would be beneficial but we arrived after dark and were able to find our way. The composting toilet was awesome!!! It was so fun in the morning drinking coffee and watching the cows roam. I would totally recommend a stay here to anyone!!

This was a great spot to park the RV for the night. The road was a bit bumpy but just had to take it slow. The little chill out tent on the property was a really cool extra touch! It was a quiet dry camp and the hosts were respectful and gracious.

Jorge gave us great directions, so even though we arrived later than we had hoped we didn't have any problems finding it. The campground was exactly as described, very well kept and even for camping. We didn't use it, but there was a fire pit. The composting toilet was lovely, clean and well maintained. The view was beautiful! Highly recommend this campsite.
