Just 34 miles away you can learn all about the oldest trading post of the Navajo Nation when you visit this national historic site. Driving up to the post takes you back in time to when people had to come here to get basic supplies and all the gossip. The Rangers here are extremely knowledgeable. Learn about Native American art and get a real sense of history. Many of them have personal ties to the trading post, which adds to your visit, and you may be lucky enough to get an informal guided tour of the Hubbell family home. Just a little further away you have the Petrified Forest. This expansive park covers 230 square miles of Arizona desert, extending into the badlands and the Painted Desert. The Petrified Forest is famous for its fossilized trees, which fell about 225 million years ago. There's also spectacular colored rocks, a result of the Chinle Formation. Hike, sightsee and photograph your way through this unique landscape of grandiose geology. Pets are allowed. No trespassing! Scam?
GPS took us to a dirt road with a closed gate saying no trespassing. There was no sign for Pine Springs Camping. Betty did not respond to my text requesting assistance. We had to stay elsewhere. Not sure what’s going on here. There was a previous review saying this site was a scam.

We have a 26 foot bumper trailer are is pretty level and easy to get to. Half hour from Petrified Forest which I would recommend seeing.

A great spot to stop over on the long drive back from Colorado to Arizona. Hopefully we can stop there on our way up to CO next time! Nice property, easy access from the highway, nice level spot for the van, and nice fire pit. It was cool to hang out with Blue the dog too! I recommend this place to all travelers along I-40 near the 4 corners. Will definitely stay again!

No Betty, no campground. It’s a scam! I hope hip camp returns my money or this website is a scam also
