Beautiful, remote, safe oasis
Staying at Nicole’s Oasis is magical. Nicole is a wonderful host who lives gently and organically off her 40 acres of wilderness. We loved the remoteness and beauty of her land (and her dog) so much that we delayed our trip to the Grand Canyon and just relaxed and learned a bit about organic gardening, water conservation, composting - living off the grid. When we were ready for our adventure to the Grand Canyon, we drove no more than 30 minutes and we were at the South entrance. Nicole’s Ossis provided the perfect base camp and was only a short drive away from gas, provisions and fun towns. 5 Stars for Nicole and her hip camp.

Surreal escape from reality.
Nicole's place was the perfect spot to set up camp. It was close enough to town to be convenient and far enough away to feel like you were really away from it all. The location was perfect for out trip to the Grand Canyon and Nicole was an incredible host. The compost toilets were so nice and had no scent. The shade was beautiful and relaxing. The only sad part is that we only had one night to stay there. Next time im planing for longer. Absolutley amazing time.
Natural beauty at its best.
Nicole was a delight!!! So welcoming and friendly. Bummer we only planned on a place to rest our head. We arrived late and left early but I could have spent hours chatting. What a lovely soul. I am so impressed with what she’s been able to accomplish at her space. The bathrooms were incredible. Rustic eleganZa.
We’ll be back. For longer next time. Don’t forget to give some love to Sierra Nevada. She likes her sticks.
Beautiful camp, rocky road :)
Nicole was wonderful and her property was beautiful!! She provided walking sticks and showed us the grounds upon entry - she is very passionate about living on the land. A fantastic host and we so enjoyed!
Be warned, though, this road is not easy to drive on in smaller cars. I have a 2019 Ford Fusion and we ended up having to go to an auto shop because a rock got stuck and made my power steering go out! Just be prepared and have the right vehicle 😊
We had a wonderful time at Nicole’s hipcamp. It was on some beautiful land with great views. The nature toilet was awesome lol! Nicole is a super rad woman who does everything herself on her land. It’s so cool to see. We stay one night and loved it. Would recommend to anyone!
