Such a sweet find. The yurt was very roomy and comfortable, also adorable. Also really cool location and surrounding nature. Incredible sunset.
My girlfriend and I roadtripped to California for spring break and wanted to have a unique place to stay. We were taken such good care of at Muddled Moose. We were the first guests of the 2022 year and the temperature was below freezing during the night. Karen was concerned for our comfort and ensured we received extra propanes heaters for the night. She was sure to check in on us for our arrival and even the morning after. She even guided us to interesting things to do in town. We enjoyed our cozy yurt and ample firewood that was provided. The area is so peaceful and Karen’s directions to it were clear so we had no issues at all. We’d recommend this campsite to all if they are traveling through AZ.

The location was secluded and easily accessible. Directions given by Karen were very detailed. We didn't get any difficulty reaching there even after it was dark. The camp was clean with lots of firewood. We went there in November and it was very cold. Take extra blankets and propane tanks for the heaters.
What a beautiful spot under the stars! The yurt was wonderful, so nice to have the space set up. We were there at the beginning of November and it was very cold. We were bundled up so make sure you have plenary of layers. It was great that the fire wood was already there for us. Overall, we have a lovely stay and would recommend for others!!
What a sweet little find. Maggie Moose was a quick 40 minute drive from the entrance of the Grand Canyon. Drove back after sunset for a bonfire under the stars. The location is definitely remote - about a 10 minute drive down bumpy dirt roads - but Karen gave great instructions to help find our way. Would definitely recommend driving for the first time in the daylight to orient yourself. The tent came stocked with firestarter and wood for the fire. There were cute Christmas lights on all of the trees surrounding the tent which helped light the pathways and also created a nice ambiance. Pack for the cold! We went in the first weekend of October and it definitely cools down more than expected at night. Be sure to bring more blankets than you’d think you would need. Overall a very nice stay and would definitely stay again!
Great stay! It’s such a cute yurt. I would make sure you bring your own sheets and lots of blankets because it gets cold at night. Also bring potable water. There is a bag with a spout you can put it in to wash your hands and brush your teeth for example. I wish the lights inside were all working but a few were out of battery. We still managed and had a good time. Make sure you follow the host directions! I was driving late at night and was able to find it okay. The road is a bit rough so I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you’re in a small car. Drive slow if so!
Pros: Beautiful area! The flowers were out and the sky is gorgeous! Yurt was pretty cool, fire pit was nice with wood provided! Loved that there is a port a potty. Karen was fantastic at replying to messages leading up to the trip.
Cons: Directions given were incomplete and we were lost for a while. Which brings me to next con, not private. Several cars passed our campsite and people were checking us out ( probably neighbors there are many people in this area) at all hours of the day and night. There is another yurt about 50 feet away and they face each other ( we were lucky to be the only people at the camp or it would have been akward) Owner came to site with 2 others to check on property and give a tour while we were enjoying lunch and it reminded us of how not private this spot is. Air mattress in yurt was not completely inflated and seemed to lose air over night with no avail pump (back killer) Last one, no shower when it was listed.
If you want to get out of town, Williams was a lovely place! Everyone was so nice everywhere we went. It is drop dead gorgeous there with all the flowers blooming after the monsoon weather. For the price this was a winner. Not having to set up your tent, having wood provided for fire pit and having a bathroom was incredible.
But if you want a private romantic get away for 2, this may not work because people are constantly around and they can see you.
