The mountains are hypnotic. The air is clean. The stars are breathtaking. You can see the Milky Way on a clear night. The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. There's a gravel area to park, or you can tent anywhere out on the property. There's a walking path, firepit, medicine wheel and labyrinth. Wifi, water and outside electrical outlet included.
We're animal friendly. We have a Spaniel that runs around. There's a dog line that runs in front of the barn you are welcome to use. There are lots of birds, like cardinals, hawks, owls, blue jays, roadrunners and hummingbirds. Jackrabbits and coyotes too.
The location is central to so many incredible places to explore. Feel free to pick your hosts brain as she has tour experience. There's also a local farm down the road for fresh eats, pick your own food if you want, a bakery with fudge (woohoo!) and fun activities for the whole family.
Here's some of the sight seeing possibilities just to get your mind percolating:

Good access to location sites
Melody was gracious, welcoming and friendly. Her dog was friendly and not a barker.
The space is very flat and level and access to electric is easy. The approach is a bit narrow for a larger camper. Ours is 38' and my husband had to work to turn it around in the space.
The location is about 45-50 minutes from Cottonwood. One route option is through the mountains and via Jerome. Incredibly scenic. No vehicles greater than 50' on that route - don't even attempt it. The roads in Jerome are narrow and winding. The other route via 17 is less scenic, but easy.
Location has great access to Prescott and local attractions like Montezuma Castle National Monument.
Mountain views under a sea of stars
Easy to find. A short drive off the 17. Google maps brought us straight to the address. Once into the neighborhood, the road is primitive but easy to navigate at slower speeds. Lots of friendly neighbors waved us on.
Melody was an excellent host. She greeted us immediately and offered advice on the best place to park. Melody provided a quality, 30-amp extension cord, which kept our RV fridge and appliances running perfectly. No cell service this far out, but good strong Wi-Fi was provided. Our pup was allowed to roam freely off leash throughout the property. This was the main reason for choosing this location and we were definitely pleased about the whole experience. Thanks again Melody for a wonderful time. This was our maiden voyage in the new RV. We don't think I could have gone any better.
A wonderful place to stay
Melody is delightful and her place is magical! Don’t miss an opportunity to stay at Mountain Views site. The road to the site is bumpy and can seem longer than a couple of miles off the highway, but just drive slowly and enjoy the desert views and you will be fine. You can request the electrical hookup, which we appreciated. Lots of quail to entertain you and places to contemplate the wonder of your life.
Memorial day w/e hangout
This was our first Hipcamp stay and we really enjoyed it. We wanted to find a quiet spot to hang out for Memorial Day w/e. This place fit the bill. The host was very nice and she had 30 amp and water if we needed. Also fast WiFi. Nice area to walk around out back and there is a labyrinth to play in. We would repeat.
