We had a lovely time in this secluded and quiet campsite. The sunrise and sunset were gorgeous! It was not hard to find and about 5 minutes from the small town of Valle. The host was even kind enough to help us put our tent up upon our arrival because it was very windy and they happened to drive by and see us struggling! Would definitely recommend for seasoned campers, and would stay here again if we were in the area.
Beautiful campsite! The friendly hosts offered to help us with the wind and also provided some drinks, snacks, and firewood. The drive in to the park was nice and not too long. If youre looking for a last minute spot when the park is full, Mathew is your guy!
A beautiful, quiet, convenient spot
This place was the perfect spot for our night before going into Grand Canyon Park. It's right off of the main road yet quiet and private. The landscaping is tasteful and the solar lights at night beautiful. Mathew left a basket of bottled water and red bull, and a tent heater which was all so incredibly thoughtful! Oh, and the fire pit all ready to light with wood and kindling - wow! Overall we loved it.
Great place to stay, wonderful hoat
Beautiful view of the mountains and spectacular night sky for star gazing. Only 30 minutes to the Canyon. Matthew is a gracious host who will help you out with anything you need. He had energy drinks and water waiting for us, solar lighting, a picnic table, a top notch fire pit and a portable heater. I hope to make it back out to stay there again.
Quiet night under a starry sky
Perfect affordable boondocking spot for visiting the Grand Canyon. We had drinks and a heater waiting for us when we got there which was very nice. The best part of the night? THE STARS!!!!
Great place! Kind of near the highway so you don’t feel like you’re too out there. There were water bottles and also pokers provided for the fire.
We stayed for 1 night on our way to the Grand Canyon. This was my first camping experience and I loved it.
