Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart that we were worth it. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Hard work and dedication were imprinted on us from a young age. On this land we have built an RV pull-through and horse stalls. One day we hope to have some small cabins to share with you all.
Ethel's is your home away from home.
Our unique RV park is comfortably tucked away to provide a quiet stay away from the crowds. We have only 5 spaces so you will never feel crowded. We border agriculture and sate and public lands which provides an authentic western experience. Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab Utah. Kanab features many fun and exciting events throughout the year. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Traveling with horses? We have just the spot with (8) 12′ x 14′ covered stall. Contact us to book stalls for your horses to stay over night with you.

Peaceful place + great location
Great place to stay (stayed 2+ weeks). Marci and her mom Sandra were wonderful. Large pull through sites are a huge bonus. Hookups work great. Great water pressure (septic coming soon). Perfect location and great place to base yourself to explore North Rim, Zion, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, etc. Only thing is the wifi signal is week and spotty. Have AT&T and unfortunately, the awesome rocks that adds to the view blocks the towers. Other than that, highly recommend.
Great choice just outside zion
Stayed one night on our way to Zion. Perfect location about a half hour from the entrance to Zion. Loved the views. After we settled in, the friendly host came by to see if we had any questions. Felt very safe. The bathroom is a port-a-pottie for now, but they are building real bathrooms that should be available sometime soon. We would stay here again...exactly what we expected and needed for the one night.
New and basic but a good option
One of the more affordable options in this area. It’s new so was able to get a site easily. Very basic - gravel site, not quite level. Has water and electric but no sewer or dump station. May have one at a nearby gas station. Sites are long and there are horse corrals so would be good for someone who travels with horses. Owners live down the hill on their ranch. Self check in but they did come by to make sure I was all set later on.
Ethel’s Hideout is a gem!! It is so peaceful and gorgeous scenery. It is less than two hours from Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon, so it is super convenient! It’s also 10 minutes from Kanab, which has a lot of cute things to do including outdoor activities. Marci is also very friendly and helpful. We’re already planning to return!
Absolutely epic camp spot, way better than any paid campsites we have been to, has electric and water hook up. Very quiet. Close to Zion and Grand Canyon national park
We definitely recommend
This was the final place we stayed after a VERY long, first-ever RV trip. We breathed such a sigh of relief as we came over the small rise and found raw, beautiful, rustic landscape. We needed a rest and we got one. The RV sites are immaculately kept and thoughtfully designed. Little touches show it was done with obvious care. Marci was super helpful and we got to meet "Marci's Mom" and she was very cool. These are nice people with a simple, just-right space and we would absolutely stay here again. We can recommend it highly, as well as the stargazing, and the great coffee and staff at Willow Canyon Outdoor Company just up the road in Kanab http://www.willowcanyon.com/.
