Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart that we were worth it. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Hard work and dedication were imprinted on us from a young age. On this land we have built an RV pull-through and horse stalls. One day we hope to have some small cabins to share with you all.

Ethel's is your home away from home.

Our unique RV park is comfortably tucked away to provide a quiet stay away from the crowds. We have only 5 spaces so you will never feel crowded. We border agriculture and BLM which provides an authentic western experience. Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab Utah. Kanab features many fun and exciting events throughout the year. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Traveling with horses? We have just the spot with (8) 12′ x 14′ covered stall. Contact us to book stalls for your horses to stay over night with you.

Apparently I was the first person to stay at this new facility. I was all by myself, but I doubt that’ll happen again. This is a great spot to get away from the crowds. There are 5 parallel gravel pads. They are SUPER long (100 feet or so) and can fit the very largest RVs. The electrical and water hookups are all brand new and high quality. 15/30/50 amp electric and 35-40 water pressure. There is no sewer access at this campground, but there is an RV park just down the highway that will let you use their dump station for $10 (Wheel Inn RV Park - I wouldn’t stay there except in emergency, but $10 for dump is cheap). There is no WiFi yet, but Marci said she is looking into adding either WiFi or a cell booster to the campground area. AT&T service is a little spotty, but I was able to stream Netflix with only occasional buffering. It was acceptable.

A big thanks to Marci, who met me at the property line and guided me all the way to the campground, even though I arrived pretty late. She was extremely helpful. She showed me where the State land and BLM lands are and let me know where to hike. There is a trail that leads to the top of one of the buttes. Amazing views!

This is a site I will certainly be returning to.

We loved staying here! Perfect spot away from everything, but a great landing pad for Zion and all of the other things to do around Kanab. Loved having hookups but being out in the beautiful open soaces with amazing views.
