A Private fully fenced 4-acre horse property in Whetstone, AZ, I also own the adjacent 4 acres which is natural. I am currently making trails through that parcel for riding and hiking. I offer two RV spaces with hookups, one has an RV cover large enough to accommodate a large motorhome, this cover is 13' high, so make sure your rig will fit, including any A/C units on your roof. There is also plenty of room for tent campers. I have another listing for tent camping that offers 1 site. It's called Additional camping. Women campers welcome, this is a safe non-creepy place to stay. The property has views of Whetstone and Huachuca Mountains. Whetstone is a dark skies place, we have stars! (not the snotty arrogant kind) There is a private pool and pool house, my garage has a restroom, refrigerator, and a microwave and coffee table. The pool is solar heated, during warmer months it reaches 80+ degrees. I offer Western riding lessons for an extra fee. I have 2 cabanas available for campers' use, they are not sleeping facilities, they have tables and chairs. Wildlife visit here and are welcome. I have a very clean landscaped property. The road is also quiet. I am off Hwy 82, there is some hwy traffic noise. I have neighbors, some have dogs, but they don't bark too much. I don't have dogs, because I love the peace and quiet. It's 20 miles to Sonoita, 15 miles to Sierra Vista, 21 miles to Tombstone. 37 miles to Bisbee, 10 miles to Kartchner Caverns. 63 miles to Tucson (I-10 and hwy 19), 20 miles off the 10 freeway. My property is natural on 3 sides. Across my road is a small storage unit and neighbors. You can't see them from the RV area or backyard. Looking North, West and South are all-natural views.. 4200 ft elevation. Excellent views.
Camping spots are dirt and gravel.
Power is 50 AMPS! Please bring an adapter if needed.
Summer is our monsoon season, July-September. Be aware that this area gets approx 22" of rain, mostly during summer. Beautiful storms, lots of lightning. It is hot and humid and buggy if it's an above-average monsoon season.

I have a drone video of the property. Hipcamp doesn't allow videos, but it can be viewed on my website www.karlashummingbirdranch.com, and on YouTube, it's titled "A day of riding at Karla's Hummingbird Ranch".
And my recent campers made a video review of my place, also on Youtube titled "Karla's Hummingbird Ranch Hipcamp".
I am happy to accommodate private custom family/group gatherings. You can have the place to yourselves. Message me with your needs.
This is a peace and quiet property.
No hunters please.

Beautiful horse ranch
My family very much enjoyed camping at Karla's Ranch! She provides such a wonderful space to enjoy and shares so much with her hip campers! We were there in the November so we didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting. The part my kids loved the most were the horses! She has some very friendly horses that loved being pet and my kids couldn't get enough of it. My kids did all the horse experiences and loved every min of it. Karla was so good with them, they learned so much about the horses and how to be around them and care for them from her! I would highly recommend saying with her if you ever get the chance! Thank you Karla for sharing your place with us and taking the time to share your horses with my kids!
Amazing!! great place to camp
We loved camping at Hummingbird! Karla is amazing. She is extremely thoughtful and friendly. The accommodations were so wonderful. Very well kept up and inviting. We had a relaxing week swimming, riding horses, playing card games in the gazebo, and having a campfire. I highly recommend Karla’s ranch!
Camping and horseback riding
Karla was a great host! She has a lovely property that really needs to be viewed at night to fully appreciate. We enjoyed taking riding lessons from her and would love to come back and do it all again.
Karla's directions are very clear and she was great to be in contact as we headed her way. But as she says, DON'T go past her RV gate sign (at the wagon wheel) which is to the left IMMEDIATELY after you turn that corner off highway 82! I did and got some much needed practice in backing up so it wasn't so terrible... Karla was a lovely host: she showed us around her beautiful property and extended a gracious invitation to use the heated pool, cabana, garage sink, refrigerator, bathroom. We were just too tired to partake, unfortunately but were very grateful to stay in such a peaceful place. Thank you, Karla!
We greatly enjoyed meeting her and will definitely stay at the Hummingbird Ranch again if we are in that area.
This place is an incredible gem! Karla was such an attentive and knowledgeable host, and we had a wonderful time. The whole property is immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed. We did the extras with the tractor experience, and grooming and walking the horses, and had such a blast!
Safe camping, secluded area
I cannot say enough good things about this place and the host. Karla was so accommodating and kind. It felt like we were staying with family. The view of the mountains, sunset and sunrise were gorgeous. It's very quiet with some rare noise from a nearby rd. This is a great place to spend some quiet but fun time either alone or with family/friends. If you're looking to blast music or have kids running around unattended then this is NOT the place for you. Relaxation is what we found here on this beautiful, quaint ranch with our onsite host. We didn't want to leave and hope to be back!
Great stay close to sonoita.
We really enjoyed our stay at Karla’s ranch. The location was perfect for us and the pool was an amazing bonus. Karla is an excellent host and always made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll come back here for sure!
Beautiful views & rv spots!
We had the best time at Karla’s hummingbird Ranch. Great RV spots with level ground. It made setup and leaving super easy. Everything is so clean and beautiful on the property. So many beautiful details our favorite being the twinkle lights all over the property at night! Kiddos love the pool and wild life. We will be back! Excellent stay.
