There was 2 miles of Rough dirt road which was okay but slow going. But we could not find the hipcamp driving in at night.
If you drive in during daylight, you should be okay.

We were disappointed that we although we’re pretty sure we located the property, we could not find an entrance. The host mentioned that a camper was leaving the day we were coming in, but we didn’t see any tire tracks onto the property. It would have been a great spot for us and dogs, bummer. I would suggest that the host be more specific in his written directions and perhaps put some kind of marker at the entrance to the land. (Not tires! LOL). We are at one week and are still waiting for a refund. Bummed

Its an empty piece of land. There was no one close by, it was quite except for the train that would come through throughout the night. I wouldn't recommend if thats going to bother you. The sunset was amazing. The property can be a tad hard to find, follow the directions.

This was a very peaceful place to stay overnight. No animals, or people, just a distant train sound. The only challenge we had was we could not find the exact road to turn onto his land. I used Google Maps and the road seemed to be on an empty field. However, since we have a large setup, we just parked on a dirt road close to his land and had no problems. Other than that, this is a great overnight stay on your way to another destination.

A beautiful sunset. The road we parked on for the night.

The stars were truly amazing!! The site is very bare bones and a little hard to find so I recommend arriving before dark and bringing everything you need to camp. Mosquitoes were also terrible in August so be sure to bring bug spray. Great experience though. Beautiful place!

Beautiful location with a great view of the stars. Host is very responsive and eager to help out - great person. You might get a few train honks from the Santa Fe railroad while staying there, though, so keep that in mind!
