See for yourself how high a horse really is, by sitting on the mock horse, and try roping the practice calf. Just come into the gate and follow the fence line to the left. any Vehicle welcome. There are many famous towns and sights around to tour and explore, Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area, Vineyards, Pecan farms, Kartchner Caverns, Cochise Strong Hold, Tombstone, Bisbee, Douglas, Patagonia Lake, Chiricahua Mountains, Museums, and Missions, and not far from Mexico, New Mexico. and more. 2 Hours from Tucson and 3 from Mt Lemmon/Sky Valley. -- Horse Boarding available for an extra fee. Great central location for sightseeing, hiking, touring southeastern Arizona, and great people. I loved the quiet and safety of the working ranch. Lots of birds, great nighttime star gazing. Loved the sounds of the animals. And Tony has great stories, and history of the area. Super loved the solitude of their place.

What we liked was wide open spaces, the solitude, the full moon, horses, and goats. However, our pooch is a "city slicker" unlike us, and couldn't figure out what these "things" were so barked at them. Hila said they would just ignore him which they did. More goats coming today. Hooray!
The site worked out perfectly for us. The location is central to Chiricahua NM / Bisbee and Tombstone which we were all able to visit in the time we where there. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative for us to spend time on the ranch but it was beautiful. The full hookup worked perfectly, the eggs were delicious.
We enjoyed camping at the Rocking T ranch. There were hundreds of Sandhill cranes in the land next door each morning feeding, the goats had just birthed two small kids and Hila and Tony have water and electric hook-ups making a hot shower possible! We visited the Amerind Museum and hiked the Chiricahua National Monument. A lovely stay.
Tony and Hila are very friendly. We used the hookups and had a great view of the sandhill cranes morning and evening. Some of them even roasted in the the field right there. It was fun to pet the goats and horses.
Very quiet and peaceful, except when the Sandhill Cranes were flying overhead and feeding in the field next to our campsite. That was nothing less than awesome. We wanted a quiet, private place near Whitewater Draw to meet with our friends. It was perfect!
We enjoyed meeting Hila and Tony. They are great people and were superb hosts. Nice and quiet. So close to Whitewater Draw that it was only 10 minutes away to see the Sandhill Cranes coming in for the evening and taking off in the morning. On top of that, they were flying overhead and feeding in the field right next to our campsite. We enjoyed petting the horses and watching the chickens and goats, especially the baby goats! We can’t wait to come back again with more friends to share this special place. There were 6 in our group in 3 rigs. Everyone agreed that Rocking T rocks!
