Welcome to our Six Sycamores private campsite! This is a large and secluded natural campsite nestled within a short few-minutes walk of the Verde River and less than a mile of Tuzigoot National Monument. This is our most spacious and desirable campsite, with ample room for several vehicles and tents. We include two large picnic tables and a large fire pit with plenty of room to gather around. Also within a very short walk of the campsite is a professionally maintained Port-a-Potty, and a garden hose offering limitless clean well water. The campsite features a unique combination of both young and ancient Sycamore trees, six individual trees in a cluster. Sycamore trees are in our opinion one of the most unique and interesting trees in all of Arizona. Especially during the fall months, there is nary a more quintessential "autumn leaf" as the majestic sycamore's. If you like autumn tones, calm natural vibes, and serene bird songs throughout the day, then this campsite would be perfect for you.A few choice examples of local activities to do on or very near to our campsite include: Bird watching, hiking, river rafting or tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, stargazing, and even rockhounding. This area conforms to the Arizona Dark Sky initiative, and while we are not dark-sky certified, we've had several guests compliment us on our location. When it comes to rockhounding, or amateur geology, this is a fantastic area for exploration and study. The cliff walls of the Verde River offer clear and distinct sedimentary layers, and the frequent flooding of the massive sandy riverbed reveals countless undiscovered treasures. We gladly welcome pets, including horses, as long as the guests inform us of their presence, and takes care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess they may leave on the campsite. There is a professional horse-boarding field and stables adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders to follow the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood if they so desire. All of our campsites are kept clear of trash, weeds, and fallen limbs and we take pride in their presentation. Please let us know immediately if anything does not reasonably meet your expectations of a private natural campsite. Please remember that this is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde Ripparian Greenway and the Verde River. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature. Be prepared to tuck your food away and bring ample protection from the insects.

We enjoyed the six sycamores campsite. My family of six stayed just two nights in mid June, but we played in the river and enjoyed other close-by attractions. The weather was very hot, but there is plenty of shade for your tent and picnic tables at this campsite. My kids wanted to stay longer or at least come back again soon.
The portapotty was close but not too close. We were there a day before the potty was cleaned. Much more pleasant after cleaning, but it really wasn't bad.
There's more we'd like to do and this will be on our list of places to stay again.
Close to river, quiet and secluded at campsite. Large trees with great shade. The only downside was weather. It was too windy and it was dusty. At night the wind stop and we had an occasional breeze, full moon it was beautiful. We saw plenty of deer and even had a skunk that we had to divert away from our campsite. It got down to 65 at night which was great but it was 98 and really too hot during the day. Would definitely recommend but check weather before you go lol there was a wind advisory and just didn't expect it be that bad lol we brought 2 dogs and they had a great time. Hope to go back in the fall.
Great camping spot. Views of Tuzigoot from the site and a short walk to the Verde River. Would definitely recommend!!

Camping at Vickie’s was great! Camp spot #6 offered great privacy and lots of room. The Port-a-potty was clean and well maintained. Easy access to a trash bin and water on site!
We had a wonderful stay at Six Sycamores over Thanksgiving. We had privacy, it was clean and GORGEOUS. You could even see the Tuzigoot Ruins from the property.

Vicky was welcoming and very informative. This site is beautiful- lots of nearby hiking. Our dogs loved playing in the nearby river.

Great campsite for a bigger group. Plenty of room and the bench is super useful. Vicky is a great host. She is responsive and helpful. Keep in mind you’re close enough to a road to bear cars at night but at least campsite #6 is the last one on property and you get more privacy.
What a fabulous location to beat the crowded Sedona area! Close enough to enjoy all the shopping and hikes…….and also super quiet! Well, except for some crazy coyotes. Vicki keeps her camping area nice and clean…with great picnic tables and a porta-loo to boot! Thanks much Vicki! We will be back! The full moon stay was magical!
