Welcome to our large river-adjacent campsite nestled under a truly magnificent ancient Cottonwood Tree. This tree has a full 360 degree canopy which provides all-day shade for a cool and quiet experience.
While all of our sites are within just a short walk from the river, this campsite is a stone's throw away. You'll hear the calming trickle of the river throughout the day, accompanied by pleasant bird chirps filling the trees. On many afternoons large flocks of ducks, or sometimes geese, will arrive around at 4 - 5pm in the nearby river and begin their evening ritual, just about 150 feet away.
The Verde River, the adjacent riparian greenway, and its wide abundance of animal life are the main focus of this campsite, and we're sure you will find a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Site is approx. 80 ft diameter centered around a massive Cottonwood tree with a trunk ~6 ft in diameter. Includes fire pit and 6' picnic table. Within a short walk from the campsite are two professionally maintained port-a-pottys, and a garden hose with clean cool well water.

Good location, quiet, dark, lots of trails to the river with small waterfalls, lots of lizards and toads and ants with very few mosquitos. The road in is very narrow and very steep. We had a 16 foot camper and it was pretty sketchy getting in and out. Lots of dead wood available when campfires are allowed. Great place to tent camp but I would highly suggest you leave your camper home. Potable water available through out the property, and a porta potty available. We had a great time but I would only go back if we ever wanted to tent camp. Oh, and Vicky was extremely nice.
Excellent site nestled deep on a beautiful ranch with built-in firepits, picnic tables and port-a-potties with a hose. Near the river, hiking, exploration and more. Was a great place to take our mastiff pup for her first camping trip.
Vicky is a wonderful host!

The land was beautiful. Nice shade from the big trees. Refreshing swimming hole and little falls a short walk from camp with a stunning view of the Tuzigoot National Monument. Vicky was quick to respond to my questions and suggested many different places to explore. It was also a sweet spot for my dog to be able to run free. My dog Stormy loved adventuring around and also playing with Vicky's dog! Thanks you for sharing your sacred space with us!!
