Gurty is a fun, cozy, and unique space to camp! The inside is equipped with one queen size bed, a futon that folds out into a full size bed if needed, a pellet stove, table and chairs, solar powered lights, tea and coffee, books, games, and more! Just outside the yurt we offer a chiminea fire pit, camp stove, propane grill with pots and pans, dishes and utensils, an ice box, picnic table, umbrella, hammock, and solar powered lights. We provide you with propane, firewood, and cooking water, so all you'll need with you is food and extra water!
* ALL cooking must be done outside. We apologize for the inconvenience this may bring during inclement weather*
* Our unique pellet stove uses renewable energy, making it a high-efficiency and sustainable heat source! Pellets are the cleanest solid fuel, producing very little air polution!
***NOTE: This stove has a built-in fan that runs whenever the fuel is burning. Please be aware of this sound before booking. We ask that you either turn the stove off before going to bed, or you can keep it on LOW if you prefer the white noise for sleeping!
The neighborhood is quite remote and peaceful. We are tucked away on a dirt road just 1000' feet from the highway, and are the only home down our road. Our closest neighbor is about 4 acres away.

What an awesome experience! This was our first time staying in a yurt and Kyla and Louie's set the bar high. Had everything we needed for our stay, and the stove inside the Yurt turned chilly nights into toasty ones! It can be a little noisy inside on windy nights, but earplugs are provided to help with this. This was the perfect launching point for Grand Canyon trips (only about 30-40 minutes away). Would stay again and highly recommend!
This place is so cool and unique! Pellet stove was a nice touch and set up for us when we got there. It was a reasonable drive from the Grand Canyon and my mom got used to the outhouse ! It snowed there but we stayed pretty warm!
My husband and I LOVE the yurt! We stayed here for our honeymoon in March and immediately wanted to come back again. This time we stayed 2 nights and did an overnight hike with Louie and Kyla. They put so much care and intentionality into making this place feel like home. It is clean, cozy, warm, organized, quiet, peaceful… what more could you ask for?The bed is super comfortable and the sheets are buttery soft. There’s coffee, tea, water, chocolates, books, games, guitar, hammock, lawn chairs, corn hole, horse shoes, cooking appliances - so many details that make this place incredible. We 100% recommend this yurt to everyone - plus a hike with Louie and Kyla!!!
Easily the best Hipcamp experience we’ve ever had. This place is so well managed and filled with impeccable details from a hospitality perspective. Everything you need is provided, even phone charger batteries, firewood and hot water for tea. STAY HERE if you’re planning a trip to the Grand Canyon - there’s no place better that’s nearby.
