Grand Canyon Glamping Huge Yurt
We are located on the native land of the Hualapai, Havasupai, Hopi, and Diné people.
The yurt has 3 beds- 1 queen, 1 double fold-out futon, and 1 single. It can get chilly at night, even in the summer, but we provide lots of sheets and blankets, plus a heater available for rent if you need it!

From May through October, you'll have Wifi from our satellite service that usually works. From November through May, Wifi may be inactive. We encourage you to enjoy this time being disconnected! Since we're out a ways from town, T-Mobile/Metro PCS is the only reliable cell network. AT&T does get a weak signal good for calls, same with Verizon.
The yurt is on 10 acres of wild land. There are two other yurts, our tiny cabin, and our van home on the property, but they are spread out so you'll have privacy. Check with us before having a campfire to make sure wind conditions are favorable.
Our entire setup is done in a way to be as sustainable as possible. Most items are built from up-cycled wood and we tried to limit the use of concrete and plastics. The goal was for you to feel like you are comfortably part of the natural environment. Please respect the land and it will take care of you! We respectfully ask that you try your best not to use single-use plastic during your stay with us. We really need to change our habits in order to save the earth! We have reusable metal water bottles for sale if you need them.
Our toilet is a dry and composting toilet. It doesn't smell and also doesn't use any of our valuable water. We are happy to discuss with any and everyone the necessity of changing our habits if we are to create a better more sustainable world.
Our shower is outdoors and a really amazing experience. From May through October we have an on demand water heater which gets the water quite warm. We are also in a very dry region, so we encourage less usage of water in general. From November through April, there will not be on demand hot water. During this time you will have a solar shower bag which can be heated by lying it in the sun before showering.
We provide drinking water, local information, plus a Grand Canyon park pass so you will save $35 going in. This is a season pass so it stays at the yurt after you check out. If you take it with you there will be an $80 charge to replace it.
There are decent restaurants in town and Zach is a trained chef specializing in creative plant-based cuisine.
This is a place to chill out in nature, not a party place. We don't mind if you have a few drinks, but no loud music ever, or loud voices during quiet hours (9pm-8am). Be respectful of the fact that we are on a hill and sound carries easily, and we often have multiple groups staying at once.
No parking space for large vehicles or RVs. If you are bringing anything bigger than an SUV, please check with us in advance. 1 car per group!
At times when we are busy with other projects, the yurt may operate using a self check-in process. We will provide a video showing how everything works.
During summer and fall extras like yoga classes, guided hikes, professional massage, and Reiki energy healing may be available. Please send us a message to inquire about our availability before adding extras or breakfast to your stay. We also run weekend yoga and hiking retreats from time to time. We encourage you to stay more than 1 night if possible to take advantage of all this area has to offer.
Pets are allowed but we charge a $25 cleaning fee per pet.
Please realize that this is an off-grid experience in nature. You will encounter nature and things that come with nature like insects, weather, etc. We don't have enough power for you to use things like hair dryers or curling irons on our system. If you consider yourself "high maintenance" please stay somewhere else.

Loved staying here! It was freezing the two days we were there, and Zach made sure we had plenty of blankets and a heater. He took great care of us! Thanks so much for such an awesome space!
We enjoyed our stay despite the weather and want to come back again early next year. Plenty of room and comfortable sleeping arrangements inside with a heater (which was great to have). Great views to be seen also from your yurt's.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this remote, peaceful property in a yurt! Our host gave us a tour, of the property and was eager to make our stay comfortable. The coffee and tea by the campfire in the morning was fantastic. We would recommend to others.
Great spot with lovely options!! This was our travel day so we opted to add the sauna to our trip and that was perfect! Our bed was super comfortable and I slept comfortably! I took a hot shower with a view! I would recommend doing it before it gets too cool, otherwise your shower will be chilly specially if the wind picks up! Our hosts were super welcoming and great communicators!
We had a great time! We had 2 adults and 4 kiddos and fit great in their largest yurt. It was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing at night watching the sun go down.
Shower's were easy to use and a fun adventure. You should definitely try it while you're there.

Loved Staying at Zach and Carrie's Yurt! The weather was cold so we were super grateful there was a heater inside. Be warned it is a climb to get your things to the tent if you have a lot of things like we did. The yoga platform and use of their massage table was absolutely perfect for the Reiki Training Retreat I was putting on. Thank you!
We loved the hospitality and the yurt! We sadly didn’t get to enjoy this location as much but we loved it and hope to be back in the warmer time!!! The host was so kind and we really loved the layout
Zach and Carrie have created a LOVELY space. It’s perfect to get away and disconnect. The yurt and camp were well stocked and great for this first time solo camper. Ryane lead a wonderful yoga practice for me and gave me some advice for some near by spots to explore. I would absolutely recommend and would love to stay again.
