This is a nice spot on a gentle hill that overlooks the beautiful plateaus of Petrified Forest National Park. There is a convenient store back across and over the bridge of the Sun Valley exit off the 40 freeway. Very light through traffic and away from all the other homes. Sometimes you can see the wild horses, jack rabbits and cows at a safe distance.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The lot of land is located close to interstate but it still is pretty quiet. You can definitely hear trucks throughout the night though. We did have a few people stop by to make sure we were okay since we were camping out of our SUV so people thought he has car issues. They were all so kind and friendly. I know Eymos put up a sign marking the location after we stayed there so hopefully it is easier to find! Eymos was very friendly and helpful with making sure we were in the right spot. Overall it was a super great price and we did it last minute but it worked for us. It is literally just a lot of land so definitely keep that in mind and there were a good amount of animal droppings on the land so keep in mind if camping.
Cheap and close to petrified forest
Elymos was very responsive when we asked to clarify the directions. This is, as the description states, just a field with a sign.
The key to getting to the site is not making the right on Quartzite Road when you get off the highway, take the exit to the end to Pima before turning right, otherwise you will end up on the wrong side of the fence.
I would highly recommend 4 wheel drive and high clearance for the roads leading to the field, especially if it has rained recently.
