This is a beautiful area out in the desert to rockhunt, hike around or watch the stars by the campfire. We are building a tortoise sanctuary here and if you would like to join us and help build, volunteer or just visit come see the tortoises you are welcome to join us. Lots of fun in a beautiful place.

Unfortunately, storms washed the road to the site before we arrived and we had to go to plan 'B' (we always have a plan 'B'). The communication and concern by Rhonda was enough to sell me on HipCamp even though this time didn't work out. I will definitely try again.
Quiet and peaceful place to camp. Close to the national park. Rhonda was a perfect hostess.
Great open area for star gazing with pretty much no light pollution. The painted desert and petrified forest are within 30 minutes of the area too. Some of the roads in can be a bit rough. Recommend messaging Rhonda for directions before going out.
