This is a peaceful campsite in the middle of North Americas largest Joshua Tree forest. There are saguaro cactus covered mountains nearby and an abundance of desert wildlife all around. Mountain views in every direction. Come explore this huge property and immerse yourself in nature. This campsite is nestled in the middle of the worlds largest Joshua Tree forest with 50 mile views down the valley to California. Mountains in every direction and sandy open space to set up your tent, trailer or whatever you're rolling with. The site is on 40 acres and is extremely private. There is 1 acre cleared out for camping, including an elevated mound with panoramic views for incredible sunsets, sunrises and stargazing.  We only accept one booking at a time, this way you will have the whole property to yourself. The price is for up to 4 people and it's $5 per additional guest (up to 8 people). Please put the correct amount of people in your booking request - thank you. You're welcome to explore the entire 40 acres. There's a shade stucture (ready on the March 15th), sculpture garden, a few benches, a slide, picnic table, a large fire pit with a grill, and an outhouse with a pit toilet (bring your own fire wood and toilet paper). Other than that, there aren't any amenities here, so come prepared and bring plenty of water! Lots of wildlife in the area - jackrabbits, roadrunners, chipmunks, lizards etc. You may hear coyotes howling. There's a family of cows who visit the property often, they generally will keep their distance. This is the middle of the desert, so please be mindful of potentially dangerous wildlife like snakes and scorpions... they are rare to encounter but are around, especially in the hotter months. Pets are very welcome, we just ask that you pick up after them if they go on the mound / cleared area, and move it to the desert brush (we usually keep a shovel at the site you can use). Also be mindful of spikey plants and the fact the property is not fenced in. There is no garbage disposal, please take all of your trash with you when you leave.  No wifi here, but most major phone services work great. The campsite is 5 miles from a paved road, the dirt road can be sandy in spots, so you'll need to be mindful of that. The site is approximately 40 minutes to Lake Havasu City and 40 minutes to Kingman in the opposite direction. 20 mins to Area 66 UFO museum in Yucca. Saguaro covered mountains just down the road from the campsite. Check in is 2pm and check out is 11am, but feel free to get in touch if you need different times as we can usually accomodate, but must approve it first. Happy to answer any questions you may have 🙂

Peace in the desert
We loved our stay at Abi’s place. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The views of the mountains and desert landscape were beautiful. Although we got rare rain 2/3 days we were there, we still enjoyed our stay. Abi graciously let us check out later to enjoy some non-rainy weather, and that time was the highlight of our trip. Abi’s a great host. If we’re ever in the area, we’d love to stay again!

Beautiful spot that feels very secluded and away from it all. Love that you can also see a little bit of the city lights in the distance at night 💯 all the artwork around the site is a giant bonus too.

Definitely recommend
Great place. Very quiet with lots of thoughtful touches like solar lights around the property. Sunsets were beautiful and stargazing is incredible. Host was communicative and answered all of our questions quickly. We will definitely go back!

Magical Desert + Mountain Views
Dilly Dally Den wowed us with its 360°unobstructed views of the desert and mountains, incredible stargazing, and unique plant life and wildlife! It felt like our own little hideaway, and the amenities and campsite area were well set up for staying out there for our long weekend. The eclectic artwork and bright colors throughout the property add a fun, exciting atmosphere. A heads up to future visitors, the unpaved / dirt roads leading to the property have a lot of washboarding. There are two campers on site; it didn't appear that anyone was occupying them. Also, the tent spot we chose on the dirt mound didn't allow for placing our larger stakes (11") all the way into the ground, so we'd consider another spot. We really enjoyed our stay here, and hope to visit again soon!

we LOVED our stay here!! after a stressful & long drive we were nervous about the winds which were reported to be up to 20mph in Yucca that night. somehow this campsite ended up being the LEAST windy place in town; when we returned from dinner at the indian restaurant down the road (trust me, just go there!!!), we realized that the wind had quieted down. the stargazing potential at this site is unreal and there is plenty of wildlife if you keep your eyes peeled. 10/10!!

Total solitude with a creative vibe
Camping on Abi's land was an unforgettable experience. Far enough out there to be as silent as you can imagine, but not super remote. The directions led me easily to the spot, and the artful flair, and solar lights provide a warm welcome upon arrival. Make sure you are there for at least one sunset, it is amazing! I enjoyed walking around the property discovering all of the creative pieces, as well as being greeted by a small group of cattle on one morning. It is a bit difficult finding firewood for sale nearby, so come prepared. That was my one mistake. This one is a repeat for sure!
