The campsite is spacious and private. We were far from the main house, out of view and out of range for noise so we could play music by the campfire without disturbing anyone. The hosts were very friendly! This is an excellent location to camp if you want to do a paddle down the red deer River from the Bleriot Ferry. We had an amazing time! We will be back! ( :

Michelle and Tracey have a beautiful piece of land here on the Red Deer River (west side). It’s seconds from the (free) Bleriot Ferry (really neat history behind the name), and you can get to Drumheller within 20 minutes. Orkney Lookout & Horsethief Canyon, are not to be missed!
Hosts are very kind people who are proud of the region they work and live in- and they have an extensive knowledge of area, they lesser known spots to check out, spots to fish at.
The campsite is a nice, quiet area to relax at- suitable for RV’s (bring a generator), and in my case was just what I was looking for as a tent camper- a place to recharge.
Note: You can use the showers at the Drumheller Aquaplex ($2.50), or shower/hottub/steamroom ($8.50- during lane swim and public swim times only). Extra dollar for the locker rental. Also recommend fishing under the bridges near the Atlas Coal Mine.

I highly recommend this hipcamp and it was such an honour being their first hipcamper! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as I live a quick 2 hours north up HWY 56.
