My boyfriend and I stayed at Iron Horse Cabins on the first weekend of September. Visiting Janet and Dan's land felt as if I was walking into my forgotten childhood dream. A simple country trip we anticipated turned into an experience we could not have imagined. Completely surrounded by pure nature itself, we had the most phenomenal getaway at Janet and Dan's cabin. The hand-built cabin was cool during the sunny day and pleasantly warm during the night. Built-in bunk bed was a perfect size for two of us. Janet and Dan are the most charming hosts! The tour of their area was quite an adventure. The best thing happened after the sunset around the campfire, the singalong - how could you complain if your host is a great musician! We will definitely be back to this wonderful place. Thank you for hosting, Janet and Dan!

Janet and Dan were wonderful hosts! Very kind and helpful! They had a lovely piece of land, filled with so much to do! The freshwater pond was perfect for the summer esp in the hotter days! Directions were clear and they were helpful and answered all the questions I had! Great for family and great for a group of friends who want to go for a nice camp out of the city! Me and my friends had a wonderful time and would go back in a heartbeat! 100/10 :)
Janet and Dan were terrific hosts. Great hospitality, a great fire, great songs. My family and I were left wanting for nothing, and my kids talked about our trip down all day after we got home.
Janet & Dan were amazing hosts! They had great electronic communication before I arrived and the directions were precise! They came and met me at the gate and got me set up. The cabin was amazing and cozy and included a bio fuel stove and everything I would need for cooking, even water. The bed was exceptionally comfy, I don’t know why we don’t all use sheepskin on top of our mattresses to sleep on all the time, but I’ll definitely be looking into it! The compost outhouse was the nicest outhouse I’ve ever used, and I’ve actually used a lot. They had a group fire and sang songs in the evening! This was truly an exceptional experience. The no trace, environmental camping was idyllic. I would strongly recommend and will be returning!

Excellent group! Had a blast showing them around the place and foraging! No trouble at all! I’d adopt them all if I could!
