Little Cabin With A Big View
As part of HomeGrown Campground and Cabins, this little cabin can accommodate a queen-sized air mattress but a double or twin is recommended for extra floor space.
It’s like camping, but there is no need for a tent! The cabin is perched on top of the embankment offering great lake views and it is only a 30-second walk down the stone path to get to the beach.

The cabin is wired for electricity and can be hooked up to a battery power inverter for an additional $5 a night if you would like to have indoor/outdoor lights and a power outlet to charge small devices. If you have an inverter or a generator of your own, feel free to bring that along. If you have a group, there is room to pitch tents as well for an additional $10/night per tent. (Select one additional guest in the menu per tent when booking). Fire wood is $5 for a large bundle, or free if you burn the endless amounts of drift wood that collects along the shoreline.
This site has tons of character and charm, and if you stay here, you will be glad to have discovered a hidden gem.
Points of interest nearby include Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park. This is a landscape of contrasts. The southern end of the park consists of storm beaches, beach ridges and blowout dunes behind which are a series of marshes and wetlands. It is one of Canada's northernmost bird observatories and is one of the only boreal forest bird observatories in the world.
Activities nearby include fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, swimming, and so much more!

The grounds are well kept and the view is great! We'll definitely be back.

The campsite was great and the hosts were very helpful. The shoreline is beautiful and clean. We loved the hosts two dogs they were extremely friendly!
Will be back soon
Such a gem of a spot. Owner goes above and beyond, the lake has a beauty sunset view, all amenities are great, highly recommend.
Great place to relaxing evening with kids.
Such a beautiful cabin, welcoming host, lovely lake. My 3 boys were happy to meet new friends, Rosa and Luna.
This stay was amazing. Our 5-year-old and 8-year-old slept in the cabin. My partner and I stayed in a tent. There were five or six or different options for that. We spent tons of time in the lake. The beachfront is not sandy. We just wore our sport sandals in the water. Most of the time, we were the only people down there. Besides swimming, we fished (caught three pike, kept one for supper), rode bikes on the Trans Canada Trail, picked berries up by Marten Beach and hung out with Rosie the baby bison and Luna, the dog. Garrett was accommodating and always available by text.
This is a fantastic place, the setting is beautiful and the hosts were very sweet. Felt almost magical with people walking by playing instruments and seeing Rosy the baby bison. We saw bald eagles and a small bear who thanks to Luna, scared it away. Luna looks like a Maremma Sheepdog, a gentleman giant.
