Since 1905 Flint Rock Ranch has been a welcoming ranch with the best views in Southern Alberta. We proudly continue the tradition of raising grass-finished beef, and welcoming guests from across the globe. The Garden of Agnus on Flint Rock Ranch is nestled next to the barn out of the wind, and just across from the washrooms, shower, cookhouse, and bonfire pit. With incredible views, hiking, games, and kayaks, this working cattle ranch is perfect for an adventure in the country. We have 10 different campsites available for tent and RV campers. We are family-friendly and pet-friendly! Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Beauvais Lake Provincial Park and Castle Provincial Park are both within a 20-minute drive. We look forward to hosting you!

Flint Rock Ranch - The Garden
Can’t Wait to Return!!
We planned a last minute trip to visit Waterton for the 1st time. We obviously couldn’t find camping in town, and our hunting for a tent site had us stumble on Flint Rock Ranch. We didn’t know what to expect, but ventured forward with an open mind & curiosity. Our experience far exceeded any expectations we could have had! Patrick is an amazing Host!! We easily made friends with him :) We immediately felt welcome and like we we’re at home on the ranch. The view from the ranch looking over the valley and the mountains was so picturesque, it could have been a painting. The cookhouse was amazing, and we were able to keep our food chilled or frozen as needed, with an industrial gas stove range and oven, BBQ, plenty of counter space and room to clean dishes. There is also pots and pans, dishware and utensils you can use. There’s a big fire pit and plenty of places for little propane fueled fires around the ranch. The hot shower and flushing toilets spoiled us and made us grateful as well. At night the stars put on a show that was breathtaking. We got an opportunity to sneak peak the cabins and we both agreed we would rent one and recommend friends and family. They are well equipped and adorable. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Even though it was an hour drive each way to Waterton, it was completely worth it and made our trip better than it would have been had we stayed in town at Waterton, without a doubt.

Flint Rock Ranch - The Garden
Patrick was extremely considerate when we checked in pretty late in the day around 11pm. He even helped us set up a fire so we could set up the tent. Bathrooms were clean, we did not have a chance to use the cook house but it appears to be well equipped. We woke up in the morning to the most beautiful and peaceful scenario. There is a 7km dirt road before you could reach the place, so I recommend that you arrive a bit earlier in the day to avoid the scary drive in the dark.
