Description

Canoeists will love visiting cozy Honker Lake Cabin on Prince of Wales Island in southeastern Alaska. The cabin sits on Honker Lake, part of the 30-mile scenic and challenging Honker Divide Canoe Route. The cabin is surrounded by a temperate rainforest of old-growth spruce, hemlock, and cedar. You can reach the cabin by floatplane or canoe only, so it’s pretty remote and quiet- except for the migrating Canada geese (“honkers") that pass through every year, and give the lake its name!
