Pitch your tent behind a grove of spruce trees in a blooming fireweed and wildflower meadow, adjacent to Homer Smith's Historic barn on our farm stead over looking the view of the 1900 acre Fritz Creek Anchor River Critical Wildlife Habitat, the Ocean (Kachemak Bay), and the jagged peaks of the Kenai mountains. Learn about regenerative farming practices and the principals of permaculture. Enjoy the symphony of the many beautiful bird calls putting you to sleep or helping you rouse to the best day ever. Regenerate in the quietude of the pristine wilderness that surrounds us. See what the buzz is about with bee hives we steward. Pick some veggies from the garden, check our developing food forest and walk a few minutes away to two peony farms. Some hiking, beach walks, yoga, meditation, biking and river access are just minutes away. Cook over the open fire and crack open a cold one over some good conversation.
Our camp sites offer lots of space between them, allow for personal space, privacy and all have an incredible view. We built raised wooden platforms to accommodate most tents. Raising the site up allows for a warmer, level, more soft place to place your tent and enjoy the quietude and mountain views above the Anchor River valley.
Homer is arguably one of best places to experience all Alaska has to offer and our farm is absolutely one of the best places in Homer area to see the Aurora Borealis, and for star gazing. Our neighborhood could qualify as one of the dark zones because we are out tucked into wilderness. Come reconnect with nature, you'll find some warm hearted folks here welcoming into their home.

The land is wild and beautiful. This a great way to experience a small scale organic and sustainable farm in Alaska. Thomas was a friendly and gracious host. He made us feel welcome and spent time showing us the land and sharing his knowledge about farming and the surrounding area. There is a well-equipped outdoor kitchen and a great fire pit. I would highly recommend Quiet Alaskan Farm as a peaceful place to stay for a few days while exploring the Homer area.
My wife and I stayed on Thomas' little homestead with our 2 dogs. We got a nice level area with wood shavings to pitch our tent. We stayed I'm a fireweed field on the side of a hill. He showed us his greenhouses and gave us some history of the area. The morning we left he also mentioned some hikes in the area that we might enjoy. I definitely recommend anyone staying here. Great views of a little valley with some mountains peaking in the distance.

Thomas & cohosts could not have been more generous and accommodating! They welcomed me with a fire & an IPA, gave great suggestions for exploring the area, made sure I was warm at night, shared food & hot tea & community & sent me home with fresh eggs. Ideal for stargazing, 20 minute drive from Homer & plenty of good hikes and places to explore nearby. Accurate driving directions easy to follow even if you're showing up after dark like I did. 5/5 would visit again. Thanks Thomas!

Rebecca, Thanks so much for blessing us with your presence on the land! Glad we could meet you and hope to see you again! Best, Thomas
What an amazing place! The drive is easy, aided by the impeccable directions provided by the host. It's a quiet place in the rolling hills with fireweed everywhere, and everything has been hand crafted. I got to stay in a tiny cabin which was clean, cozy, and had solar powered lights. Every detail was thoughtful and the property is wild and beautiful. I look foward to my next opportunity to stay, and highly recommend it to anyone in the area! Absolutely exquisite 😍

Hannah, Glad we got to meet you and share this little sliver of paradise. Thanks for coming out and hope to see you again! Best, Thomas
