UPDATE - We have a long term renter at this point on the gravel pad, however if your just looking to park and get some rest, and don't need much as far as space, or privacy, we still have 5 acres, your welcome to come stay in "site 2". Thanks for looking!! ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: If your traveling along I-40 or I-25, this is a perfect location just off the path enough to soak up the stars, enjoy some amazing sunsets, and relax from being on the road. We are 35 minutes east of Albuquerque and 50 minutes south of Santa Fe. Just around the mountain here you can link up to the historic Torqoiuse Trail and explore all the neat towns between here and Santa Fe including Golden, Mardid, and Cerillos. The history is rich and the sky is vast. We joined Hipcamp because of our love to explore new places (preferably smaller towns). Our little peice of this hill is located on the end of a short graveled road just off the blacktop, well maintained. On site we are able to offer water (really yummy well water), electric (via extension cord), and a chance to dump septic (for a small fee) if need be, but not a septic hook up. We have an incredible fenced in play yard for kiddos, 2 and 4 legged! As long as everyone can play nice 🐶🐕🦺 We are overflowing with eggs from our small flock of chickens and ducks, so be sure to ask if your in need of a dozen 🥚. The back 2.5 acres is a small dirt track that we use for our gas fed toys, and pedal bikes (depending on the day), the kids absolutely love it.
There's a chance you could "ask" the mechanic onsite to take a look at your rig and give you a thumbs up for road readiness... depending on his schedule!
Our Wifi is a home 'Hotspot' that has limited Data, But works well, as does our cell services in the area. T-mobile is Great, Verizon works well, not sure about some of the others. Only 10 minutes from the small town of Edgewood that has most things a person could need, shopping, auto, banks, etc.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We were met and greeted by our wonderful host. He showed us where the plug ins were and water. We were able to spend an awesome night under the stars. I would recommend this place to everyone, so beautifully secluded, did not notice any noise or people. Thumbs up!
The view was amazing, the hosts were very friendly, and our family had a great time here. We got to interact with their chickens and ducks, my daughter got to play with their kids and on their very cool play equipment, and our dogs got to enjoy roaming the land with us. Great place to stay.
I really enjoyed staying at Danielle's propery. Even though I arrived late I was able to enjoy the view of the valley in the morning.
The best part is the well water! Looking forward to stay there next time I drive through NM!
Danielle and Dan are great hosts. They have a beautiful spot in Cedar Grove. Great star gazing and close to Santa Fe. They recommended a visit to Golden and Madrid on our way to Santa Fe and I agree they are both worth a visit. Thank you for your hospitality Danielle and Dan.
Had a great long weekend!
We had a great stay with Danielle. She and her dad were around and both were great hosts. Her property was quiet and in a beautiful spot. Water and electric were both available. It was a little tight with a 28’ fifth wheel but we managed. Would recommend to a friend for sure!
Great hosts and location!
The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating to our needs, with great communication before and during our stay. They helped us park when we arrived later than expected after dark, let our kids play on their awesome playground and help collect chicken and duck eggs, and even invited us to join them a cookout and fun fall activities with friends. The air is fresh, views are beautiful, stars are bright and we hope to return one day. We extended our stay by a couple extra instead of going to a local RV campground as planned because we liked it so much. Definitely recommend!
