If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We enjoyed our stay at Woodybrooke Farm. Our two boys enjoyed camping next to the pond and fishing. I especially enjoyed being able to camp somewhere besides an overcrowded state park.
We stayed in Campsite 1 which has the best view of the pond. The mosquitoes got us at first but the bug spray kept them away and we didn’t have any more problems. The campsite was clean, had a nice picnic table and fire ring. The hosts were nice and met us at the common area when we arrived. The dogs hung out for a bit and they enjoyed playing fetch into the pond with our boys.
Overall it was a great time. We would definitely visit again and recommend this as a place to visit for anyone.
Kids had a blast!
This place was great! 25-35 minutes to cloudland and desoto, without the crowds of a state park. We had a blast. Stayed in site 3 with our 4 and 5 year old-there were other folks camping, but the sites were far apart for privacy. Great level soft tent sites, great sleep without our blow up mattress (im 41!), picnic table and fire ring. Had trouble getting the fire started the first night, we scooped out wet ashes and adjusted ring for better ventilation. Firewood wasn't quite seasoned yet, I would bring some charcoal and lighter fluid for help if you’re planning on cooking solely on fire (for backup). We had a blast, fished and played with the dogs there, got lost in the woods (don’t trust the dogs to lead you back- they’re just wandering too) ended the trip with a trail ride at Shady Grove Dude Ranch (also highly recommend).
Great family fun - secret hideaway!
Woodybrooke Farm is a beautiful property away from it all and only about two hours from ATL. We booked the morning of our stay with great anticipation of our first “real” overnight camping trip (ages 4 & 7). By that afternoon, our kids were exploring the creek/brook, 4 ponds, and everywhere in between! Stayed at site 6, managed to find some level ground to pitch tents between pond and field. Enjoyed being in our own corner of the property versus the main path connecting sites 1, 2, and 4. Site 5 is at end of dead end path past site 3 which shoots off main path between sites 2 and 4. Theresa and her husband are fabulous hosts, you won’t be disappointed. Cloudland Canyon park and other must see waterfalls within 25 min drive to Woodybrooke.
What a terrific spot! It was our first time camping with Hipcamp and we are so glad we did. Our site was #2 with a lovely wooded view of a pond in one direction and an equally wonderful view of a large field of soybeans in the other direction where the sun set. It was private and quiet. Theresa was kind and quick to communicate. We will definitely be back!
We had an Awesome time at Woodybrooke Farm. On arrival, we were greeted by Theresa (Host). Theresa and her husband are very kind they take excellent care of their property. My family and I camped 5 days at site #3 our first 2 days we got rain and a tornado watch Theresa kept us updated on the storm and offered us shelter if needed. The next 3 days we had clear weather there was a lot of fishing the kids had a blast playing in the creek and checking out the other sites. There is an outhouse and a shower you can heat water for your shower. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back
We stayed 2 nights on site 4. It was so relaxing and beautiful. The sunset view was amazing and the stars at night were so bright. The hosts were very accommodating. We explored the land and the ponds were beautiful. We would definitely want to come back.
Amazing, quiet, peaceful. worth it.
Dont hesitate. Absolutely beautifull property with variety of scenery. A great choice for relaxation, fishing, family fun, and quiet time.
The hosts dogs are adorable and super friendly. They hung out with us for atleast 3 hours playing fetch with the stick into the pond haha! What a joy (:
The outhouse? Wow! Really nice. Friendly hosts and well kept property. Brong your family or friend's!
Family and adult friendly
Perfect for small children or adults wanting to get away for a while. The place was much bigger than we thought and the property was very well maintained! Theresa and her husband were so friendly and very helpful! We will most definitely be back!
