If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was the perfect experience. The host met us and showed us where to go and after that it was like we were alone in the woods after that. The dogs loved it and had plenty of room to explore with us. She has so much to offer as well which helped because we didn’t have to pack as much. Huge tent, fire pit, charcoal grill, table, logs for sitting and much more. I would recommend this to anyone. We will definitely return with more people. The host was welcoming and friendly and checked up to make sure we were all good and didn’t need anything.
Eventful fun and private campsite!
My husband and I stayed here in late December for 5 nights. The site was very cute and private while still accessible to the town so we were able to go out and take drives around if we needed to. Brenna the host was very polite and accommodating while also giving us plenty of space and privacy. It’s about a quarter mile walk on a clear trail from her house to the campsite and we felt alone and in privacy when we wanted to which was great. It was a little difficult to transfer our heavier things (like our cooler) between the site and the car due to the sloping elevation but nothing we couldn’t handle and very doable especially if you take your time. The site is swipe with the large tent (more than big enough for the both of us and can definitely fit 4 people comfortably and 6 people still easily), a fire pit, fire wood, a small portable camping toilet (which was great) logs to sit on, a small wooden table, a charcoal grill (though I cooked entirely on the fire with a grill adaptation that Brenna let us use) and a hammock with a tarp and mosquito net. It was a bit cold in the winter but we slept in warm clothes with plenty of blankets and a small tent heater and were fine for the most part. Brenna has upwards of 40 acres of land to explore including a great little creek running along the campsite and two great little waterfalls. We had a great time exploring the site spotting deer, armadillos and even hearing an owl hooting near us at night. We took a day trip into south Cumberland park in Tennessee about 45 minutes away and hiked the trails by foster falls. Beautiful nature and free access to the parks. I highly suggest checking out some of the nearby state/ national parks if you visit this sight, it’s a great opportunity to see some beautiful mountains and sunsets. We left a day earlier than anticipated because it seemed like we were going to get bad weather and we wanted to avoid that for the drive home. Brenna was very understanding and even helped us refund the amount for that last day. All in all a great experience. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend visiting this site especially if you’d like to have access to day trips to surrounding towns and parks.
We had a wonderful time at Holland Creek Camp. We brought both our boys (2&5) and both our dogs. The logs are perfect for sitting and there are excellent places to hang if you have an eno (hammock). We hiked to the waterfall and had a great time. Everything was excellent! Will definitely be back:)
Our stay was perfect! Brenna was such a welcoming and friendly host. There’s a beautiful waterfall not far from the camp, and many walking/hiking trails. We also had their foil dinners & breakfast choices which were SO good! There is also a very large tent provided, and it can comfortably fit two queen air mattresses and a dog bed, so there is lots of space. So happy we chose to stay here we had an awesome weekend!
Fantastic stay @ holland creek camp
Holland Creek Camp was absolutely fantastic. The host, Brenna, had everything ready for me when I got there including fire tender and firewood! The tent on site is very spacious and in great condition, the log seating is just that... three good sized logs supported to make seating around the fire pit. I went all over the property and found all three waterfalls and hiked the loop. The trails are steep, but well maintained and the creeks are shallow enough to walk up the creek beds to get to the waterfalls. During my stay, I saw armadillos and a small field mouse come by the camp and even heard an owl close by! I will most certainly be back again!
We had so much fun at this camp site- perfect intro to mini backpacking with the added ease of not packing in a tent. They've thought of everything you could need to enjoy your camp. 10/10 would reccomend. Thanks, Brenna!
Rain rain go away!
A little rain didn’t stop my son from having a great first time camping here! Such a beautiful area and you truly feel at peace here. Can’t wait to come back! Brenna even refunded us for the popcorn we didn’t cook and also Offered to Refund us since it was raining and storming.
Brenna was a super friendly and accommodating host. The space you’ll be staying is a very roomy tent alongside a beautiful babbling brook about a quarter mile downhill hike from her house. If the weather is looking wet at all, I highly recommend renting cots from Brenna. We got rained out big time and these sturdy yet comfortable makeshift beds she had already set up for us when we got there made our stormy stay so much more pleasant and enjoyable. Her land was a blast to explore (definitely give the big waterfall a visit) and wonderfully peaceful to sleep in. I loved getting the full camping experience without having to lug as much of our gear out there. Don’t miss out on this gem!
