The property was so beautiful and well kept! Short overnight trip to pull the kids and the adults away from technology. We had 4 school aged kids and a teenager with us. It was so great watching them play in the river and on the beaches. They were able to pull away and have a little bit of freedom. We will definitely be back!
If you want peace and tranquility go here. Tent camped with 4 kids and a dog we loved it. Even though it was cold we stayed in the water. I will be back. Owners are lovely and when my battery died on my truck the nice neighbor helped .. btw no one around for miles no groceries plan accordingly
I think this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed. The land was clean, the hosts were beyond helpful and kind, and let me tell you about the view. The fact that there was running water, HOT water… amazing on those crisp mornings. I will be back, I cannot wait to set up camp again.
It was really amazing to disconnect from life for awhile and just enjoy each other’s company and nature. We brought in two travel trailers (23’ and 33’) and a tent. The property was very private, the river was a fun spot for our kiddos, and the shelter on the property gave us shade, a bathroom, and shower. You’re definitely disconnected from everything without a drive but that is exactly what we wanted! Sheila and Larry were very hospitable and kind. Sheila kept us updated on weather, which was much appreciated on an evening with potential severe weather. We were sad to leave after a week there, but will definitely stay there again! We recommend others check it out, too!
Sheila’s and Larry’s property was absolutely beautiful! It was relaxing hanging out by the creek. We heard coyotes and saw hawks, osprey, bald eagles. The site was clean and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. It was their first time having a longer pull-behind on their property so both of us weren’t sure if we could make it down through the terraces. We got stuck coming in but Larry came to the rescue and got us out. He also made sure we got back out safely. If you have a 31 foot airstream with no lift you might have a hard time getting in but if you can it was totally worth it! There is no light pollution so it’s a star gazers paradise! Thank you both for sharing your beautiful property!
