This property sits directly on the water.  On the way to the water, towering above your head, mature hardwood trees will guide you to the camping area.

The site includes a fire pit,  toileting area, canoes, paddles, and life jackets(limited).  You should bring your own PFD. Fishing is usually fantastic.  Fairy lights will guide your way throughout the immediate campsite. This is a quiet area with very little traffic, minus a multitude of songbirds and the occasional boat going by.  But at night, the woods and water come alive with many sounds. Also, don't forget to look up and enjoy the stars!

Let's go hiking.  Visit The Forever Wild Gothard-AWF Yakes Lake WMA on the lake's western shore.  You'll have 5,810 acres to explore. On Yake's eastern shore, visit the Coon Creek Forever Wild Tract. With 320 acres to hike, visitors may see bald eagles, ospreys, and many other terrestrial or aquatic wildlife.  For more information and maps visit alabamaforeverwild.com.

Enjoy your stay at Hideaway Cove.

Great site! We felt very safe the whole time with no issues whatsoever. The hill killed me walking up and down to unload so pack accordingly.

This site is absolutely beautiful, secluded, and has canoes available which is a huge perk! The host was also super responsive and helpful when we had trouble finding it.
BIG NOTE: it is about 100 yards of fairly steep hill from car to campsite, so if you're looking for true car camping experience (have your car super easily accessible to get things in and out of), this isn't it. There is a cart available, which was super helpful, but a bit difficult to navigate down and heavy to pull back up.
THAT BEING SAID: would definitely camp here again and just pack differently to minimize trips/efforts up and down the hill.

Chairs and canoes provided! Tent area is right behind this.On the way down to the site, which is straight ahead at the bottom of the hill

This spot was an amazing find! super scenic and private with lots of amenities. The hosts were very helpful and respectful. The path to the site itself from where you park is quite steep, so come prepared. We brought a cart to bring our stuff to the bottom and back up, and it was a lifesaver. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

This place has a great view don’t get me wrong but it’s at an incline so if the ground is wet and muddy DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ANY FURTHER YOU WILL GET STUCK!! I got stuck in the mud and had to get a tow truck to get me out but the tow truck also got stuck! He finally got his truck out with help from a co worker but told me it would be to risky to get me out! I had to beg him to not leave me there because there was more rain on the way from hurricane IDA.
He told me there’s one more option to get me out but would cost me $100 more. I agreed!, said he would be back with a tractor to try and get me out. After almost an hour he finally got me out the mud! Thank goodness for these people if not would still be there! To say if I had a good time i can’t say that. I spent 80% trying to get my truck out the mud.

Very secluded. The spot is down a slight incline but the owners have provided a very nice wagon to be able to tote your stuff up and down. It's really no big deal. The area is absolutely beautiful and well kept. Theres a great firepit and chairs are provided. I wish there were more trees for shade, but it was still shady in some places. Access to the water is a bit iffy. I had to rescue my wife from knee deep mud when we first got there. We tried several entry points and they were all quicksand type mud. Our dog finally doing a place where he could come in and out. Human water access is limited to the canoe, which is generously left out for use. All and all a great secluded spot
