Headed South on 24th St W - road is in your right immediately before you come to Heron Johnson Dr on your left. Headed North on 24th St W - road is on your left right after you pass Heron Johnson Dr on your right. There’s a very small amount of concrete against the curb to make entrance a tiny bit easy. However this is a rough, overgrown road for privacy. There is substantial gravel underneath so easy to travel once you’re on it.

This is a great spot with quick access to Red Mountain. My wife and i loved it. It's literally an island of Wisteria saturated woods in the middle of a neighborhood in west Birmingham. The only catch is that there is currently not an area to turn a camper trailer around. I own a 15' Aliner and a Travel Valet so i was able to trun my camper around manually. Another alternative would be to use a wench to turn your camper around but that can be dicey. In either case i would not recommend a camper greater than 15' in length at this time. There is also a muddy patch that i would not recommend passing unless you have 4wd. If those two qualifications don't scare you off then this is a great spot! If all your doing is parking your car and pitchimg a tent then this area is golden. My wife and i will be back for sure.

Thanks Chris! Happy to have you and so glad you enjoyed the land. I loved the beautiful pictures you shared! Campers - Know that you could decide to park a non-4wd car just off the road. If you do this then the muddy spot won’t be an issue. You can pitch tent closer to the entrance or hike back a few hundred feet by foot.
